Jazz need a 5th big

Looking at the roster this is my guess for a depth chart and starters next season.

Mo will, tinsley, Watson
Hayward, burks, Murphy
Millsap, marv will, Carroll
Favors, evans
Jefferson, kanter

Assuming bell is traded for a second or maybe another teams 5th big (not seeing this). Jazz will have 13 players. A 5th big would make sense for injuries or just depth.

Young project vs a vet just happy to have an nba contract

Here are some young projects first

Hamad haddadi
Daniel orton (if orlando lets him go)
Jerome Jordan
Solomon alabi
Fesenko
Henry sims
Hassan whiteside

Vets

Aaron gray
Tony battie
Dan gadzuric
Sheldon Williams
Fransisco elson
Brian cook

Not all encompassing but I personally would rather take a flyer on a young kid 1st it puts preasure on kanter to perform and maybe just maybe we find a diamond in the ruff. A late bloomer.

On a vet it would be nice to have Sheldon Williams for defense and making a run. A vet might take minutes away from kanter and hinder his development instead of pushing him harder.

No, we don't?

Why do you assume that Millsap will be a full time SF?

We have 6 players capable of playing the 4 and 5:

PF: Millsap Favors Evans Marv
C: Jefferson Kanter (Favors)

What the Jazz need are more players that don't feel that they should start on the team. If Millsap were ok with coming off the bench, there wouldn't be a logjam at the 4 at all.

Players who can play the 3 for the Jazz: Marvin Williams, Gordon Hayward, Paul Millsap

Players who can play the 4 for the Jazz: Al Jefferson, Derek Favors, Paul Millsap, Jeremy Evans,

Players who can play the 5 for the Jazz: Al Jefferson, Derek Favors, Enes Kanter

Because of the versatility of players on the Jazz roster, we are fine as far as depth is concerned, but the problem I see with these players is that so many of them think they are guaranteed a starting role and won't be satisfied coming off the bench.

Personally I would like to have one more player with Center size. But there aren't any out there who can chew gum and walk at the same time.

And that's why I think the Jazz will make an effort to re-sign Jefferson. It's much easier to draft or sign a PF than a guy who can play the 5.

Marvin Williams > Millsap at the 3.

If Corbin doesn't see that, he's not fit for coaching.

Politics >>> Reason.

If Corbin doesn't see that, he won't be a coach for very long.

Jazz started Favors last season and Millsap came off the bench, until Derrick showed he wasn't quite ready to be a starter. This is a tough call. I just don't see a scenario that will make both Favors AND Millsap happy.

1. I think the Jazz go with a starting five of Favors-Jefferson-Williams-Hayward-Williams, with Millsap and Burks coming off the bench.
2. If Paul voices his displeasure again, I predict KOC will "Deron" him.
3. If Marvin proves to be the answer at SF and is extended, Jazz may face a similar dilemma at SG. Either Hayward or Burks might be offered in a package to obtain a high draft pick or young PG.

Man, we have billion big men play either PF or C. But if Millsap leaves, then it is different situation

I liked the Tunisian guy that was on the summer league roster. Over 7' and very agile on offense and defense. Minimum contract with upside.
