This. It is one of the 5 Kakars, or "K's". Some of them are getting even smaller though, like in the centimetre range. Of course, this is more of a recent thing, as every baptized Sikh was supposed to carry a full-sized dagger back in the day.

I remember seeing as real kirpan on the wall of a friend's house. Something like this:

Dishonorably discharged. Gangs (white supremacists included) infiltrating the military has become a problem. Not a huge, immediate threat but still a problem. Guys go in then do not rejoin and go back to their gang with military training. Cops facing off agaisnt that is a whole different ballgame then a local punk gang banger.

If the gunman was depressed or angry at something, why not go lift some weights? Go fishing? Watch a good movie?
