Yahoo Jefferson Article

I downloaded and watched the twolves vs rockets game . I have to say this is going to be an interesting year to have a real center on the team. He was slow going up and down the court but i found a lot of other things in his game that is interesting. The whole game he had three people on him and i thought that if he wanted to he could have put up a lot of points in the game. I didn't think his d was bad and he does take up space that boozer did not do. He can be a little bad at times but if he had the right training and learned more into his game he could be a real force. I wanted to see him push people around more and knock them out of the spot. Something i did not see too much in the game. But with him and sap on the floor together is going add something we have not seen in this system maybe ever. One thing for sure is we now have size up front. I wanted to download some laker games to see how he did as well. We might have to force teams more into a half court with us rather then a run and gun.

How much of this part of his game that takes a little bit of drive and determination will come out when he's finally playing for a winning team with deep playoff/championship run aspirations?? Without trying to break anything on the internet by being TOO optimistic, I really think that Jefferson will surprise the world next season with his amped up defense and offensive intensity when he picks up the newspaper and sees his team in the running for a top seed in the West instead of the running for the most balls in the lottery.

I love it when my team gets really good players from bad teams, especially guys with good attitudes like his and who are excited to win and compete at a high level. I think those rebounds he didn't get, or times he let his man through the lane without contesting his shot, or anything else where he might have seemed disinterested in the play, I'd chalk up to just knowing where his team was at in the standings and knowing that they had no shot to make it to the playoffs.

I understand the same could be said about Boozer with his defense, but Boozer was on a winning team and should have had no reason to not be putting out his best effort night in and night out.

Except when that player is Pau Gasol and that team is the Lakers.
