Free Agency 2012 Thread

Here's a nice Carl Landry quote after signing with the Warriors: "At this point in my career, I want to play for a team that's not playing for a draft pick."

He must not have paid much attention to the Warriors from New Orleans. Just wait until a few injuries hit and some adversity comes, Carl. Then we'll see how the playoff chase goes.

Come on Lakers. Do the right thing and sign CJ instead.

He could be the Lakers David Benoit in the playoffs as he misses 3 after 3.

I'm envisioning it now. Kobe chucks shots, and then he rests while CJ chucks shots... Now all the Lakers need is Morris Almond! You know, in case one of their chuckers gets injured while inadvertently playing defense.

The Bucks are looking at both Pietrus and CJ Miles. I'm starting to think that CJ Miles will eventually find himself on a roster after all.

CJ Miles has agreed to sign with the Cavs as has been discussed in the Jazz forum.

Joel Pryzbilla is expected to make a decision on where to sign by tonight. His preferences are believed to be 1. Milwaukee 2. Portland 3. Dallas

Some people think that Andray Blatche may want to go to an up-and-coming team where he can get good playing time and earn a big salary for '13-'14. If he's ready to stop being a knucklehead, great. If not, he'd do well to spend a season with a veteran-heavy team that can help him get his act together.

Alonzo Gee's agent said that Gee is open to signing his qualifying offer if Gee and the Cavs can't come to an agreement.

Kenyon Martin is looking at either the Lakers or Nets. He's officially in ring chasing mode (which seems to contradict the Nets rumor)

As a good indicator of the activity level in the General NBA forum, this was still on the first page. That said, I'll get to my point. Andray Blatche is expected to sign a 1-year non-guaranteed contract with the Nets for the vet minimum.
