Yesterday, Saric made his team champion at U-18 European Championship. In final game against Lithuania, he played with 39 pts, 11 rbs and 4 assists. Through the tournament he averaged 25.6 pts, 10.1 rbs, 3.3 assists and 1.6 blks.

His only problem is his turnover issue. He recorded a high turnover ratio in almost all tournaments but it's mainly because of his playing style. He's a pure point forward and his assist numbers don't even reflect his play making effects on the game. Crotia run almost all plays through him, I think that makes him a little bit less effective and cause turnovers on behalf of him.

Wow thanks I was following him for a couple years and did not know how he has done lately. (other things on my mind) but dang those are good numbers and yes he is a good rebounder.

Great find. Couple of things I noticed from The video

- he is taller the before maybe 6-9 to 6-10 so great height for a sf.
- he is beefier (is that a word) he could play some pf
- his haircut reminds me of ak. Both nasty
- dude needs to brush his teeth or get them cleaned.
- looks like he has a slight hitch in his shot the ball rotates sideways

If I had to make a comparison and I think it is spot on is he will have a career like tony kukoc. They are so similar. I think if we get 2 picks next year he should be on the radar and only a few players I would take over him.
 
I like the look of the Saric dude. Makes a lot of sense for the Jazz to draft a Euro dude to stash because of our roster, especially if we are looking at having a pick in the 20's.

Looking at his stats his shooting seems suspect. Kind of reminds me of Hedo Turkoglu with is ball handling, court vision, and lack of speed.

Not a bad comparison. Hedo's play making abilities are better but Saric is much better rebounder and not lazy(at least for now) as much as Hedo is. Plus Saric likes to play tough, doesn't afraid of contact. He's more like a stronger Emir Preldzic with better rebounding.

On the other hand, the thing that makes this Saric kid so special is that he has the potential to become a Toni Kukoc/Drazen Petrovic mix. That's a great upside.
 
Is it just me or does he really resemble some Albanian guy on the JazzFanz?

Not in my case. I just shut up and listen when I don't know anything on the topic, though. Just listening.

(no need for anyone to refute what I said, I realize it's likely untrue that I always remain quiet when I'm unqualified to reply)
 
I got the 500th post of the thread. Yay.

And yes PKM, it will be just like you said. Plus I bet there will be some tips about treasure hunting etc.
