JERRY WEST

Steal of the draft.

Maybe if it was 1971. Either Moses @ 20 or wherever PKM picked Dr. J was the steal. West dropped for the same reason nobody has hitched their wagon to Bob Pettit yet. (& you should thank me for not taking him @ 13. I was sure I could pick a decent center to cover Malone's back.)

Hey all,

Some good picks, and some I wasn't a fan of. We've got some sweet teams forming. And in all honesty, I'm surprised you guys managed to keep this thing going in my absence. Nice work, oompa loompas.

Oh yeah, I believe the first page is updated now.

With my 3rd pick, I draft Clyde "The Glide" Drexler!

drexler13.jpg

He's one of the all-around great shooting guards that the NBA has produced. Great scorer, great passer, could grab the boards! Not to mention, he was no slouch either shooting the 3 ball!

Some good things to know about "the glide"...

He's a Dream Teamer!

He's a Champion!

He has great chemistry with my boy Hakeem!

Clyde was a great pick.

This will take me a bit to decide...there are two players available I thought would be gone.

Dwayne Wade 5.1 assists a game.

Jordan 22 shots a game
Wade 17 shots a game.

My point wasn't that Jordan was somehow bad. I was just responding to the notion that Wade would kill chemistry because he is ball dominate. I would have picked Jordan too.

agreed, just never got the cliche' that some times gets thrown around that players like wade, jordan, (i even hear "lebron's a ball hog" by people at my work), are ball hogs. They play to their strengths, which are mostly scoring and drawing fouls, but they are far from ballhogs as evidenced by their playmaking and passing.

I'd be happy with either jordan or wade as well

I think David Robinson has the mobility, mid range jumper, and pick n' roll capabilities to play the 4 slot without any issues. Robinson and Ewing down low will be DOMINANT on both ends of the court.

Did I just just get both centers from the original Dream Team? Yeah, that just happened.

@spy - I also think there should be some protocol to follow regarding pitching one's team. Otherwise we'll see too many books written and it will be too much for voters to read.

I get what you mean. Any specific ideas in mind?

After teams are complied and match-ups begin the owner of the team gets one post to explain why their team is superior or why they would beat the other team. Things may change from match-up to match-up. Thoughts?

This is what I was thinking, but should there be some sort of word-maximum?

Right now, I'm thinking I'll have both people send me their argument, so I'll be able to post both sides before the poll even opens.
