Someone posted this not too long ago. It's still worth posting again. Everyone should see it.

Brings back memories for me of the Salt Palace. A better looking arena inside, and out.
I remember seeing a good number of games there over 5 years. Also, a few concerts.
I remember Guns n Roses/Skid Row lol.

Got to love Frank.

I wish I could have seen a Jazz game in the Salt Palace. The first Jazz game I went to was in the preseason before the 1991-92 season when the Delta Center had just opened. In my defense, I was about to turn 8 at the time and therefore didn't have much control of the situation. I think that was my first year of Junior Jazz as well, so I didn't catch a game at the Salt Palace through that either.

Sometimes I realize how old I am.

I witnessed the Utah Stars in the Salt Palace in their CHAMPIONSHIP season. Saw so many great and entertaining players in the Stars' 5+ years in Salt Lake, with such colorful names: Dr J., The Iceman, The A Train, Skywalker, etc. and of course, "The Booner." Also saw a skinny rookie for the Utah Stars who was the first player to make the jump from HS to the pros. Remember looking at my father, who was a sportswriter back then, and both of us saying that Moses Malone was going to be a heck of a player. I wore out my red, white and blue ball shooting 3's from the lawn and way deep in the driveway. And I remember how heartbroken I was when the Stars folded. A piece of my childhood ended when the franchise folded in 1975.

We have some cool old fogeys on here.

Hey, don't even get me started on my memories of the Salt Lake Golden Eagles...

Or the Salt Lake Angels who later became the Gulls.

Fire away (in general discussion of course).

EDIT: You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.
