I want to see the Spider and St Pierre go at it. Make it happen.

don't worry i'm on it.

btw did anyone see how vitor started the fight against jon jones ridiculous strating stance.

thats the way to deal with it head kick a grounded opponent.
it is the most logical thing to do if someone starts a fight like that.
it should be made legal

Yeah and when Jon complained Big John said something to the effect that he was the one playing games. It is annoying when he comes out like that.

lol i thpought about the rule.
it is stated a "grounded opponent"
the rule states that a grounded opponent has 1 hand on the ground, but i think jones wasnt grounded he wasn't even hit .
imho you have to first take hits/takedowns before you can be considered a grounded opponent.
me thinks that is the spirit of the rule.
too bad the letter of the rule is something different

Much love to Big John McCarthy, easily the best ref in MMA.

I can't wait to watch The American Psycho tear Silva a new pooh hole.

Anyone watching the new season of TUF that started? Got it on my DVR but haven't had the motivation to start it, after last years joke of a season. Wondering if it's any good, don't wanna waste an hour of my life that could be better spent on jazzfanz.

lol the ultimate fighter live kinda sucked monkey balls.
thats why i guess they went back to non live version.
it is okay now.
although nelsons training seems like complete and utter ****.
although it was only 1 ep. but still it looked horrible

just finished it, nelson is a ****ing joke, a disgrace to the sport. I ****ing hate that fat *** ******* so much.

look i dont hate him, i dont find him a disgrace, it's his perogative how he trains, he has shown results somewhat
problem I have with it is now he is training a bunch of guys, maybe setting back their career. being a "role Model" to them. being their gateway to the ufc.

Yah, I only saw the one episode, but all the guys he was training seemed suprised by how little he was doing. I have never liked the guy, never liked his attitude, or his fighting style. When he won most (all?) of his fights on TUF by laying his fat *** on top of his opponents and tapping their heads for points, wtf? I know they are all trying to win their fights, but if every fighter was doing it that way I would never want to watch this sport again. I was so upset when he actually won his season of TUF. Just my 2cents.

i'm more the type that likes a fighter that does everything possible to win.
if that is laying your fat *** on top of someone you do that and throw some farts in it.
thtas probably why i'm starting to hate anderson silva and jon jones.
they are goofing around in the octagon.
nelson is goofing around in training but he has proven in the ring he gets down to business and he can take a punch.
at the end of the day i respect that.
not everyone has the body type/bone structure to be ripped like cheik congo.
the reason he could be in the ring with cheik congo, is a miracle :P

I might be biased here but it seems like stepping stone stevan struve is turning into a contender

You're biased. *Stipe is going to obliterate his ***, and he'll go back to being the gate keeper for the HW division. Sucks to be a GK that early in your career, but that's just the way it is.

*edit

I'm leaving my original post there because I'm an idiot. I didn't know the fight already happened... Yuck.

i posted after i saw the fight yes.
but i didnt realize he was only 24 years old.
so yeah being 24 years old means he has room to improve from stepping stone/gatekeeper to a contender.(not saying champion , just contender)

and for a GK/SS he has exciting fights. also just looked up his record it is better than expected.
25-5 overal and 9-3 in the ufc not bad

I don't think he'll ever even hit "contender" status, to be honest. I really like him, and I like watching him fight, but he just doesn't have the "IT" factor. He'll never even be in the same arena as guys like Jones who use their length so well, because he's too slow and tall. That isn't something that you can fix with training, you either are fast or not -- he's not. He also has a questionable chin, which again, is not something you can fix with training. Who in the top 10 HW do you think he could even stand a chance against? I can't think of any.

1. Junior dos Santos

2. Cain Velasquez

3. Daniel Cormier

4. Fabricio Werdum

5. Frank Mir

6. Josh Barnett

7. Travis Browne

8. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

9. Stefan Struve

10. Roy Nelson

I don't even think he could beat Big Nog, and Nog is as washed up as a fighter can get. Also, while finding this list, I almost lul'd at Mir and Barnett being on the list. That shows how sad the HW division is.
