If Favors doesn't start most games this year.. Well, I'll be pizzed off.
That makes two of us.

Your sarcasm detector must be hitting the snooze button this morning.
It was merely a joke about Mo putting his Onus on Favors..

Well you failed. You are one of the best posters here and need to land that joke. Our success as a message board depends on you landing those jokes and not goofing off. Get it together PKM.
That makes two of us.
He did well with the response. I can visualize my sarcasm detector (robotized mechanism) reaching over and hitting snooze because of too much oil and tonic the night before. But you bring up a good point; does the proverbial comedian "goof off" when he lands the joke, or does he achieve a level of somber competence brought on by his effectiveness while properly executing the joke. Furthermore, how much of the "onus" can we put on the executor of the joke when the interpreter of the frivolity assumes the responsibility for comprehending the executor's prodigious whit. In short, Jazzfanz must answer the call and cultivate the very essence of intellectual gaiety within its bosom and mind. That, my stoked friend, is what holds the eudaimonia of "our message board" in its hands--not the usurpation of our agency.

Three of us and I am sure that there will be more.

That sounds like a nice job. I'd love to manage a retired person. Salary, of course, not a cut of their earnings.
my thoughts, if i suspend disbelief long enough to give OG the benefit of the doubt...
- the mo part is the coolest part. as someone who still questions the mo acquisition for a variety of reasons, even i'll admit that the single most important contribution mo could make is by helping favors explode into stardom. i figured he was probably the wrong guy to do that from a playmaker standpoint, but if he makes up for what he lacks in that department by motivating and pushing him and pointing out to him at every turn that he could be the best guy the jazz have, then maybe we'll be alright.
- the burks part is interesting, but doesn't mean all that much. the jazz aren't going to change their identity and turn into an iso team just because a second-year player figured out how to get by the defender. also, getting by foye and marvin williams doesn't necessarily mean he's going to get by lebron or kobe, ya know? it'll be nice to have that as a secret weapon for certain occasions, but we can't change the system around that.
- the marvin part is pure, unmitigated BS. i'm not saying you didn't hear that... i'm saying it's not true. rotation decisions are never 100% set a week before training camp, and even if corbin did have an idea on who he wanted to start / bring off the bench, he wouldn't have gone to the practice facility to tell marvin's old AAU buddy. i think everything is open going into camp, except for probably mo's starting spot and (unfortunately) al's starting spot.
You are absolutely right. He just told me that the way that Burks and Hayward were playing was so good that he thought that there was no way to not start them. Pure opinion, nothing to back that claim up, only what he saw on the court.
Again, I have no way to prove that all of this is true. I just know that he loves the NBA as much as I do and he is more connected than I am. I have no reason to not believe him, but none of you have to believe me.
yeah, again... i'm not saying i don't believe you... i just don't think this guy is in ty's head enough to say that there's a 100% likelihood of anything with 2-a-days still a week away.
