Article: Jazz fans should be thrilled with Raja

For the Jazz, getting Bell back was a terrific move. And if you don't believe me, take a second or two and Google the video of Raja clotheslining Kobe back in '06.

It was a cheap shot, no doubt about it. But it also sent a message that the Suns weren't going to roll over for the mighty Lakers.

Now ask yourself, when's the last time a Jazz player showed that kind of chutzpah against anyone wearing gold and purple?

It's been a while, hasn't it?

Seeing as how the Lakers have eliminated the Jazz from the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, it seems as though having Bell on the team can only help.

After all, he knows what it's like to stand up to them and beat them when it counts. And that ought to count for something.

I know this isn't ground-breaking news, but I still like this article. Gets me pumped for the season...

Article loses credibility by calling them the "mighty Lakers". Suns were far superior at the time.

I brought this up not long ago, but I remember the time Deron deliberately ran full speed into Bynum after Bynum kept "accidentally" bumpin into Deron on his way downcourt after LA made a bucket. Too bad it took virtually the littlest guy on the floor to go against the biggest, but, even so....

It ROCKED, eh!?

Lakers are a traditional powerhouse franchise, Suns are not. That's what I think he's referring to...not necessarily that the Lakers were better than the Suns at the time.

We should start calling Kobe "Mr. Choksondik."

the last time we had a tough, defensive-minded shooting guard who can make 3s, we went to the conference finals, and Bell is a much better version of Fisher. now let's hope for a shot-blocking big man or an improved Fesenko so that we can compete with the Lakers.

So Matthews wasn't a hard nosed defendr or able to hit three's?

I like.

Underwhelmed by the addition of Raja though. I'm waiting to see what actual affect he has on the locker room. These guys in the NBA are all pretty buddy buddy. Don't think Raja is going to make them change very drastically...
