Carlos Boozer: Ultimate Tough Guy

Maybe this should go into the flop thread, but I found it too funny.

Carlos Boozer: "Dwight (Howard) is going to love that rule. Most of the big men are pretty finesse but for us powerful guys like myself, Dwight, Zach Randolph, Blake Griffin, guys flop on us. To me, I think it helps our game. It’s almost like a bailout. They flop and the possession is over as opposed to playing defense. We don’t flop over here. We play D. If we take charges, it’s a real charge. There are some teams that live and die by the flop. I like the rule. It puts pressure on guys to play better defense."

How can he talk about charges, when he is the premier matador of the league.

I wonder if Boozer is talking about when he pushes guys in the back to get offensive rebounds.

If he would've just talked about defenders flopping against him, fine. But under no circumstance should he ever talk about D.

On the other hand, this was kind of an opportunity for him to make an excuse for never taking charges (and hence, defend).

When asked if the new rule would cutback on his post up fade-away 15 footers, he responded "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOO"

I don't get it. How can they go to the Ft line and shoot without busting into shivers telling themselves "I am a vile scum of the Earth"?
