There's been a lot of coverage of this guy who seems to have a fear of flying, or a generalized anxiety issue that gets worse with flying. Am I wrong for being completely unsympathetic to his 'issues', especially since he hasn't played a lick of professional ball yet and is already demanding that the team supply him a bus? If I was a millionaire I definitely wouldn't expect my employer to grant me much leeway towards personal problems. I get paid hardly anything and my employer would tell me to take a hike if I expected special consideration like this.

You obviously missed the line about White being willing to purchase a bus and assume liability. Neg rep'd.

My only critique of White's camp is that they should have come up with this idea and asked about it well before training camp started.
 
Neg rep? What the hell is that? Is it something I care about?

Regardless of who supplies the bus, he's obviously not cut out for the job he wants to do. Stuff like that can only be of detriment to the team and I'm glad he aint on the Jazz. Did he even graduate?

White's anxiety issues weren't a secret. The Rockets knew who they were drafting.

How is this relevant? Dude's going to make more money on his rookie contract than you're likely to make in your entire life, succeeding through extreme dedication in a highly competitive occupation. I doubt you've been half as dedicated to anything, including your (likely mediocre) college education.
 
I hope they work things out for the best, and that his health allows him to have a productive career. He sure looks like an intriguing talent.

I agree that he should have been to camp on time and he needs to be a professional.

But your casual dismissal of his disorder is sad to see. have you ever had to deal with someone with anxiety disorder. They will down right panic at times over whatever their fear is.

The tendency of ours to shout down any dissenting voice or opinion is an abomination. I do not think he was just trollign her but actually has that stance. I just don't neg rep as I think it is idiotic.

He deserved a neg rep because he posted a link he obviously didn't read very closely. He blatantly contradicted his link. On the rare occasion idiocy is so bad that I can't stand it.

The guy was a lottery talent but his disorder kept him from being drafted that high. As has been written, the Rockets knew about his anxiety, as did the rest of the league and anyone following the draft. The Rockets apparently feel he's cut out for the job as they drafted him. What's he supposed to do, tell them "Please don't draft me and offer millions of dollars because I have a fear of flying"? He's trying to work it out and the Rockets are willing to work with him. Why the **** does it matter to you?

Only reason I care is that he will be another Rocket that Utah will kick the **** out of.
