I believe gays are that way because of environmental factors. It worries me that alot of gay people have been sexually molested as children. I also believe that homosexuals can sometimes just have gender disorder issues. You see this in gay men that are extrememly feminine or females that are "dykes". But I dont deny they are attracted to the same sex. But I understand that homosexuality does not have any biological or evolutionary function. I am for civil unions so they have equal rights. But I am more concered with respecting the process of procreation.
Do we really need more people in the world? Is that a concern? Seriously.
Well there is that certain religion, very popular in Utah and surrounding areas, whose members seem to think having a dozen kids and overcrowding our schools is a good way to ensure your passage to the afterlife.
But this isn't about religion! Of course not! This is about the sanctity of marriage! And SCIENCE!

I really don't care much for this discussion, however, being a member of this religion I'm not sure where you're getting your information from. Whether you're unable to have kids or have 100 kids, this doesn't effect your salvation at all.
If you find members of this religion having too many offspring, then one should probably look at the sexual habits of the couple rather than blame it on some made up doctrine.
Unfortunately, too many members make up their own crap and too many observers believe it as doctrine. Examples: Mormons can't drink coke, Mormons can't watch tv on Sundays, Mormons have too many kids because it's a commandment.
I'll be the first one to admit I may be wrong. There's a TON of misinformation out there about religions, especially the Mormon church.
That said, it still doesn't change the fact that the majority of those who support Prop 8 are doing so out of morals thrust upon them by their religion. Not just Mormons, of course. Many sects of Christianity have had a long-standing "war" on homosexuality.
Dude... beantown doesn't actually know anything about Biology.Turns out that homosexuality isn't just an aberration after all.

This paper, entitled "A Paradox of Evolution" demonstrates - through *real* biology of all things, Bean - that homosexuality is an evolved trait.

How can one judge over rule 7 million or so votes? (that number could be wrong, it's just from memory.) What ever happened to democracy?

Those voters voted "yes" on something that violated the constitution.
Those voters voted "yes" on something that violated the constitution.
That's my problem. Why have something to vote for, and have 7 million people vote for it, only to have a judge say that they were "ill advised" and the bill was "unconstitutional". If he can say that now, why didn't someone say it BEFORE and not let people vote in the first place? I mean, it just makes everything look dumb.
Because courts generally don't issue advisory opinions.
