Hayward is probably pretty close to his ceiling. Burks has the higher ceiling than Hayward, but I'm not sure he'll improve more and/or get the minutes this year. Favors is the guy I want to see improve the most, but I still don't know what his offensive game in the NBA is going to be. Kanter is a complete mystery, but I was never hoping to see anything great out of him until next year.

Straight ********. And Jefferson is kool and getting better, but Marvin has been in the league too long to get better.

I think it will be burks. because unless jefferson or milsap role some ankles or start getting sore knees "and i hate to say it" but unless that happens i just am not seeing a huge playing time difference for kanter, and i think favors will only get about 3 or 4 minutes more then last year.

I voted Burks. Seems like wing guys develop a bit quicker & there is still a bit of a logjam on the frontcourt and 4 guys sharing minutes.

I must say that burks being at 16.5 a game per 36 is pretty impressive! Infact, his whole stat line looks really nice. I think it's quite telling.
I voted Burks, although his per/36 might not change that much. He pretty much WAS the offense when they put him in last year. I think this season he learns to play more within the confines of the team, intiating the offense instead of feeling like he has to take a shot or drive every time he has the ball.

I also look for Hayward to be more consistent. Both years he's started off in a slump. With the Select team experience and the off-season work, I expect him to be much improved in basketball to start, although his gaming skills have probably suffered.

While I agree with this in terms of who will actually contribute to the team more this year, the question was who will increase their per minute stats the most. I'm guessing Kanter because like Cy said, he probably has the most room for improvement, and we already know he's improved the most physically of, not only the four, but the entire team...maybe the whole league. Not to mention the reports of his improved offensive game (more than just the up and under), and even more importantly, an increase in confidence.

He won't get much better than 12/3/3, while shooting mid thirties from three???

*facepalm*

I said pretty close to his ceiling, not 12/3/3 is his ceiling. His minutes will likely climb. As he gets to 35 minutes, his per game totals will also increase. At 35 minutes, he should average 14-16, maybe 4 and 4. That's super solid, but on par with his per minute averages, hence his ceiling not being higher.

I've said it before, but I think Gordon is like Dunleavy. Probably could get to Dunleavy's 7th season sooner if he doesn't get hurt. And if he got close to that, he'd be a borderline all star. I just don't see Hayward ever being a scorer in the league, or to be more specific better than a 3rd option on offense. He can't drive, he's too passive, and he looks like a really good complimentary player, not an elite franchise guy.

This is a big year for him. I'd love for him to be Bird, or even the next Dunleavy (circa year 7), but I'm not expecting a huge jump.

Agree, the biggest step he can make in my mind is just being consistent. I don't see any huge skill evolution going on with him. His touch and feel around the rim on layups/drives is pretty mediocre, and that isn't something that is easily improved.

I read the thread title, but not the poll title which defined "better" as improving their per 36 numbers.

As noted, Favors numbers are from his rookie season, I believe. I'd have to say I expect his numbers to improve. Hayward hasn't even scratched his ceiling, especially if you look at his production over the entire year. Both seasons to date he has started extremely slow. Kanter was actually fairly productive in limited minutes. And all Burks did - in an amazing impersonation of CJ - was throw up shots whenever he played. I'd probably re-vote for Favors if I could. I think he'll be more involved in the offense with Mo in charge. Hayward's numbers may not change that much, but I look for much greater efficiency.
