What's new

Pre-season Game 1: Utah Jazz vs. GS Warriors, Mon Oct. 8th 830 MT

Actually the Warriors were playing very good defense from the start, and the Jazz were slow to adjust to what was working for them. By the second half the Jazz had adjusted and the Warriors' defense wasn't as effective. Plus we have 3 new guys in important positions, it might take a little time to gel.

What I really liked was that Kanter ran the floor and immediately got in position to get the ball and make things happen. The rest of the team didn't have to wait for Al to be the last one up the court and then try and get in position. Very positive IMO.

Very important up step for Kanter. Unatheltic and slowpaced game was his worst handicap last season.

I can't believe they lost to the Warriors! How are they going to get a good darft pick from the Warriors if they keep losing to them?!?!?! Corbin sucks! Jefferson is soft! Hayward can't shoot! KOC wasted another darft pick because this guy can't even get off the bench! Favors is gonna leave!

Lol. Dumbass. You spelled draft wrong. You should of thought before you typed.

Just think if they had Bogut they would have won by fitty. :)

With the exception that their two best players played 12 and 0 minutes. But, hey, hair-splitting, eh?

The guy who hasn't played a minute for the Warriors ever and is constantly injured is one of their best players?

I mean, the players that were available (Starters), played regular season minutes. David Lee got 36 minutes.

Their best player is Lee. He played 36 mins.

And we were without Watson or Braille, so that kind of evens the score. :p

With the kind of shooting the Jazz displayed, Utah should have been blown out: Jefferson, Hayward and Foye were absolutely turrible. Jazz need more from Favors than 8/4 in 22 mins.

Stop pretending this is cordial.

To those who watched/listened to the game: who was the main guy playing backup point guard for the Jazz? I haven't seen that mentioned in this thread, nor in any of the newspaper articles I looked at. Rep points available.

It was Tinsley. He did ok but the upbeat pace left him behind a little.

Asked about 2nd-round pick Kevin Murphy, who didn't play vs. Warriors, Jazz coach Ty Corbin said, "He can shoot it, man. He can shoot it."

Wtf Corbin?!

Asked about why franchise player Derrick Favors didn't get the start, coach Tyrone Corbin replied, "potato."
