I can never get those two guys straight. It's like slimy Siamese twins got separated at birth to go forth and lead mirror lives running corrupt college programs, fail in the NBA cashing big paychecks, and crash land into corrupting more college basketball programs cashing bigger paychecks for rival teams. Is gay marriage legal in Kentucky? My life would be complete if they fell in love, played the first NCAA Championship game to a tie, and made a movie about it.

You need to chill, partner. I expressed myself in a very civil and courteous manner. As a matter of fact, I did read the entire thread - perhaps you would like to explain how that particular comment was relevant, because I'm not seeing it. I thought you guys were discussing college basketball. Anyway, I am more than happy to admit it if I'm wrong.
Not that anyone gives a damn, but let me tell you a little about myself. I now live in St. George, I am a partner in a real estate development company (Entrada). I am a 3rd generation UK fan, both my granddad and my pops have passed away. I am partners with a few guys that are LDS (I'm not) and huge Jazz fans. LOVE these guys. Because of that I forced myself to start watching some Jazz games. Took a few years for me to get into it, but I did. Now I have people around me again I can talk basketball, I'm grateful.
I've been on message boards for nearly 15 years and I know the credo ... "bring it and don't suck" .. but I am not here to defend UK, I'm here to talk Jazz. You guys brought it up, I'll gracefully back down and bring it back to the Utah Jazz. Having said that, I'll always defend my team (both UK and Utah) and I don't suck.

Hey, I'm cool with that. I don't have a problem with UK fans. Even though I sat in my living room in early '98, literally getting ill as I watched my Utes blow a lead and give away the NatChamp to a more talented Kentucky team. That little end to the Cinderella run hurt. But that was ages ago. I think most of us are over it.
The Jazz fan comment seemed like a bit of a pot shot, so I commented. Nothing personal. Keep on not sucking and enjoy the board.

Many times on this board I have seen "new" Jazz fans disparaged, discouraged from posting, and otherwise treated as frauds because they did not come from Utah, had not been "life-long" Jazz fans, etc. PK's comment had merit. Why do some posters around here try to make it hard for others to be fans? Why discourage newcomers?
Made me smile. Not for vindication for a single thread, but as a Jazz fan. We want to draw fans in. We don't need to be charming, LOL! But we need to welcome newcomers ... the team, owners, players, FO need that from us.
To be fair, the other comments were relevant to the discussion - not cool or necessarily accurate, just relevant. You'll notice I didn't make any noise about the Fatty Majerus comment (I realize you weren't the one who made it...). I'm sure you've noticed that this board isn't exactly a kumbaya campfire.
