Well, Lance, I didn't mean to offend you or "treat you like a fool," ya know? It's just that you seemed to be sayin contradictory things, so I thought I let you know how I saw it. I would do the same with any homeboy--hope we still homeys, eh?

He might be the "Godfather," CJ, but good ole Pistol Pete Maravich was the original hopper, I figure. I give him alla credit, my own damn self.

...well, if you want to go back that far....let's go back to Connie Hawkins....the true original hopper, palmed the ball, one handed flying slam dunks, etc. Maravich wasn't a true hopper in the sense that he had, well "basketball sense!" Plus, can a NBA player really be a hopper without at least ONE jailhouse tat?

Well, Connie was a Harlem Globe Trotter, and, if ya wanna git technical, they deserve all the credit, I spect. Pistol Pete had the "sense" to shoot 30+ times a game, showboat, and lose, know what I'm sayin?

...so how do you think Pistol Pete would have faired with Karl Malone on the team, both in there prime? I suspect Pete would have won alot more than he would have lost! He played on some pretty bad teams! Keep in mind that Red Aurhback thought a great deal of Pistol Pete's game....and that's saying something! Red wouldn't not endorse no true "hoppers" that's for sure!!!

Well, kinda hard to say, eh, CJ? Lemme ax ya this: how do you think Allen Iverson would have fared with Karl Malone on the team, both in their prime?

Pete jacked up 28 shots a game while shootin at a .433 clip. Kinda like Iverson, ya know?

Well, Eric, you're still assuming a lot, I figure. Let's face it, A.I. has been in prison, accused of crimes that could have gotten him another 50 years, and has a whole history of maladjustment and inability to adjust that wasn't (to my knowledge) the case with Maravich. Personally, I think Maravich would have had a hard time playin solid team ball, given all the years that he didn't, and didn't really seem to care to. But if you asked me who had the better chance of adjusting, I would say Maravich. And I don't say that because one is black and the other white.
