The Debates

Well Biden always means what he says. So he means that the middle class has indeed been buried for the last 4 years and that they didn't know about the security request for Libya.

That in turn means that a bunch of state officials just perjured themselves to congress. It also means Obama and his policies are not working.

Or maybe, just maybe Biden was lying.

I think it's quite possible that officials from the State Department were turned down in requests they made to the administration, and that Obama/Biden were never made aware of these requests. I can't imagine that every request made by every embassy goes before the President.

Biden would likely say that the middle class had been buried for much longer than the last 4 years. The Republican policies are not more helpful to them.

1) We have a guy that has polarized politics further than any time before. Nothing has improved.

If things are more polarized than ever before, it's because Republicans have moved so far right that they can't support programs they championed 20 years ago.

I realize you were born after this was being debated--the entire country was for the Iraq war before the left was against it.

I was quite alive, and the actual left was against the invasion. However, the moderates were in favor, and the center-left was divided, some most Democratic Representatives and Senators voted in favor fo the invasion.

" This poll does not and cannot reflect the views of all Americans. It only represents the views of people who watched the debate and by definition cannot be an indication of how the entire American public will react to Wednesday’s debate in the coming days,” cautions CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

Not sure why you guys keep mentioning it when A: the people posting it said at the time that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously

Your interpretation of their caution is ridiculous.
They said it was a poll on people who actually watched the debate and not a poll of all Americans a lot of which didn't watch the debate (but may react to snippets of it from their favorite pundit anyway).

Why should anyone take the time to try to prove it to you when you are obviously not willing to see the truth? Have you seriously ever watched Ed Schultz, Lawrence O'Donnell, Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann(when he was there), Chris Matthews, and Al Sharpton? Seriously..... You have to be either really naive or have the blinders on. Chris Matthews after the first Presidential debate said that Obama should watch MSNBC's nightly programs in order to gear up to beat Romney the second time around. Please step back and be objective on the matter for once. Fox is the same way with the Conservative viewpoints.

Translation: No, sir. I don't have any actual evidence that MSNBC lies and makes **** up the way Fox does. I realize that you posted a series of videos pointing out how Fox does this. I have been told that MSNBC does this, and I choose to believe it. If you don't also believe it, despite the lack of evidence, then I will call you an idiot and hope there are enough right wingers in this site to back me up.

Either way, they said to take it with a grain of salt and the next day they posted a totally different poll. So you guys clinging to this one poll, which was an aberration when compared to all the others, is what it ridiculous here.

MSNBC "leans" left the way that I "lean" on my bed to go to sleep at night.

Maybe so, but they still don't lie and make **** up the way Fox does.

Like I said, MSNBC said Obama lost the first debate in a landslide. Will Fox admit Biden won this debate?

I can't figure out what looks more fake, his hair or his teeth.

Anyway, didn't watch the debate..by Sunday no one will care or even remember what was said.

No, they said it was poll of people who actually watched the debate.

Give link to this new cnn poll you are talking about and we can discuss those results as well.

I swear some of you right wingers live in your own little world. This must be the "bubble" that Bill Maher speaks of...

What the hell are you talking about? CNN shows 61% to 39% in favor of Joe Biden on their frontpage poll. https://www.cnn.com/

Can you really expect anything more from people who ignore the 8 years between the end of Clinton's administration and the beginning of Obama's, the individual mandate which they invented then flip flopped suddenly, the Dream Act which they supported then flip flopped, that slavery was a blessing for black people, and the $5 trillion dollar tax cut that Romney wants to pass which won't create more debt, favor the wealthy, and will jump start our economy?

It's just so difficult for me to trust them because they have yet to admit to any mistakes or failures in ideology. If anything, they've become more entrenched in tax cuts, flip flopping on issues they once supported now that Democrats support them (like the individual mandate and Dream Act), more convinced that we need to have more influence in the ME (and spend more in defense), and more involved in social issues.

Just admit that we need to cut defense spending and that the wars have been a disaster, admit that the tax cuts haven't worked, admit that we need moderate reform in immigration (we ain't gonna succeed in deporting everyone), admit that the Bush administration sucked, and call for bi-partisan legislation (which means YES to the individual mandate), and admit that the federal government shouldn't be involved in abortion or marriage.

For a group that hates the government so much they seem to want it as their first, second, and final option when it comes to defining marriage. Either let the states decide or just let individuals decide.

If you don't want an abortion or gay marriage then don't have one. What's wrong with letting individuals make personal decisions? Who you love should be your own business, not the federal government's.

You're boring as ****.

He needs to be called on the carpet for denigrating an entire civilization just as Romney was for his 47% remark. Does the left really think this poorly of the Iraqi people? Do they really see Iraqis as that far beneath them? We already know they didn't see them as being worthy of saving from state sponsored genocide at the hands of a maniac who was shooting down our planes while building nuclear weapons. Is this Biden's way of expressing some deeply held resentment for the people of this country?

Al Jefferson is the best.

So besides Big Joe Biden being a big meanie, is there any debate as to who "won" this thing? Honest question.
