The Debates

I was simply passing on what ABC News said. Scat wrong? Take it up with ABC News.

You were right in your original statement. People don't understand politics in general if they think the Administration's actions on Libya is a non issue. Is it on the same level as the economy? Of course not. The economy is the biggest issue in this election. But it certainly shows either incompetence(very doubtful the President and Veep didn't know what was going on in Libya 14 days after the attack) or more likely that it was an issue that hurt Obama's credibility on foreign policy at one of the most inopportune times.

I tend not to take what corporate media says too seriously. They have their own game to play, and I am capable of coming to my own conclusions. My question is why do you believe them, I thought the mainstream media was untrustworthy due to their *shudder* liberal bias?

Did you even read my post? Context. It is really not. that. difficult.
Not to mention, when it comes to national security I tend to lean towards those who actually get intelligence and are in a position to make decisions. It is far easier to play armchair commander in chief than it is to actually hold the position. I stand by my original assessment of the entire situation. This kind of thing should never be used as a political football and the more the right tries to use it as such the more disgusted I become.

I read your entire response and think you are subscribing to some kind of bias. Not seeing this as an issue is mind numbing to me. If the tables were turned and Romney were in the White House and misrepresenting what happened in Libya then I imagine your opinion would change. Heck. the media would actually be going wild with the story. I disagree with you, this is a big issue. Let's leave it at that because I don't think you will say anything to sway my opinion and I don't think I can say anything to sway yours.

And if unicorns were real perhaps I would try to catch one and take it on a magical ride to the fairy kingdom! Let's not try to imagine what the other would do in an imaginary scenario. It is utterly pointless. What I think is important is what the president has done, not what the right imagines he says or believes. Not getting us involved in another war in the middle east, and taking out Bin Laden and upper level al qaeda operatives on a seemingly monthly basis. Compare that to the last commander in chief (whose foreign policy advisors are now advising Romney) and it's a pretty clear call. Oh! and lets talk about how the big evil media is a liberal conspiracy! Because that isn't played out.

You are right, you certainly aren't going to change anyone's mind with that kind of garbage.

Again, I agree to disagree. It is not utterly pointless. It shows bias in the media. How would protecting our consulate be perceived as getting us into another war? You do know that there were requests for additional security in Libya, right? Requests which were denied. What matters here is that we get the truth. I am sorry if you refuse to step back from your bias and understand that. I am going to put you on ignore now because I see no point in arguing with someone who can't be objective.

Um. Okay i guess?

Edit-Oh and not that I expect you to see this, but I was trying to demonstrate how Obama's foreign policy is something i agree with when compared to the alternative, based on facts, no conjecture. But yeah, I'm the one who isn't being objective *eyeroll*

I really like the Romney face when he's trying to set up the Gotcha that ended up being botched.

One of those unfakeable "I've got you now!" faces followed by a nice "Foiled!"

Hmm.. I am seeing a very mixed reaction from the media on the fallout of the debate. Snap polls had Obama winning such as CBS: 37 for Obama and 30 for Romney.

USA Today calls it a split decision.
NYT - Obama Comes Back
NYP - ROmney Wins On Points
Salon - Obama's Best Debate - Ever
Weekly Standard - Not the Game Changer Obama Needed

One thing I think we will see is that Libya will become an even bigger story.

If the tables were turned and Romney were in the White House and misrepresenting what happened in Libya then I imagine your opinion would change.

From all the evidence, Obama followed the intelligence, just like Romney would have done if he were President. I don't understand how anhyone is thinking that Obama should have made statements that were counter to the intelligence he received, or that they think Romney would/should do that if he were President. While I think very few positive things a bout GWB, I don't think he ignored the intelligence completely, nor does any sitting President.

Anyone who thinks Obama lied about the attadcks being an act of terrorism: what, precisely, would that lie have gained him?

That is pretty ballsy after you laid that huge egg right above it.

I thought you didn't trust ABC news?

It's funny how ABC news is the Bible when it says something that agrees with your agenda but is evil liberal garbage when it doesn't. You can't have it both ways. You can't find it credible one day and not the next.

I find this whole Libya exploitation thing hilarious.

Yep. A tragedy. It sucks that people died.

But the way the right is trying to exploit this truly shows how desperate they are... And how awesome Obama's foreign policy has been.

Compare that to the long list of foreign policy errors the Bush administration gave us that exploiters could easily exploit? HILARIOUS!

I'll take criticisms over Obama bowing to some arab dude and whether the attack on an embassy was spontaneous or planned any day over pissing off the Russians, pissing off the British, pissing off the Germans, starting 2 wars costing us trillions which will need to be paid off by our children and grandchildren, the worst terrorist attack in our history, etc...

What struck me is that after listing his [Obama] accomplishments over the past 4 years is that the economy is just as bad, if not worse, than the day he took office and there is no end in sight.

We are so much better off now than 4 years ago. I didn't even think it was debatable.

Once again, the greatest barometer on who is winning was in full force last night... FACEBOOK!

During the first debate? "Yeah Romney!"

First VP debate? "Biden keeps interrupting! Ahhhh he's smiling! He's so rude!"

Second Pres. debate? "Obama! You suck! I hate Obama! Ahhhhh! He's so smug! The moderator is an Obama fan!"

LOL

repubs won the first... Haven't won since!

The best candidates are showing through. Cream is rising to the top.

Which egg is that?

Just in case you missed it.

Why did the Obama Administration turn it into a political football in the first place?

The charge is that you are playing one-sided gotcha politics, thus your opinion is not worth reading.

Breaking news!

I just got it from ABC so don't blame me if you find it to be a bunch of crap! I got it from ABC!

In an attempt to jumpstart his campaign, Mitt has dumped Paul Ryan and has invited someone familiar to run with him!!!

Most of your posts are extremely annoying, but I'll give you credit for the Facebook barometer comment.
