I'll bet you whatever you want that Utah wins a conference game before BYU.
I'd rather lose close games sometimes and win others, than not play at all.
How about this, you pay me $100 for every conference loss of Utah, and I pay you $100 for every BYU conference loss.
I will pay you $50 for every conference win of Utah, and you will pay me $50 for every conference win for BYU.

Even if we didn't have all the other evidence that tells us the Utes are having a bad year, one could assume this to be the case just by knowing the Utes have had 3 different starting QBs this year. Has any good team started more than 2 QBs in a season?

You don't know that. You may have a strong assumption that Utah will not play in a bowl game, but it's still very much possible they do make it to one.
We do know for a fact that BYU won't win a conference game though.
To your point, I'd much rather try and fail than not try at all. Utah won't win the Rose Bowl this year, but at least they weren't mathematically eliminated before the season even began.
Deal. All sports.
You may get a little money for football and Gymnastics, but I am going to clean up in Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball.

I hear BYU fans all the time talking about how great BYU's football schedule is, and how independence is so much better than the Pac 12.
When the BYU fan posted in this thread about Utah not having any conference wins, he was clearly talking about football.

Both teams suck this year, and so what if you are in a conference. I'm glad the Pac12 snobs didn't snub you because of religious ties.

I find some humor in the fact that the Ute fans have always considered the BYU fans snobbish and act all "better than thou", and the first chance they get they are all over it.
