Carlos Boozer...#2 in Worst Newcomer

Boozer should be #1.

Amare was voted the worst due to his insane contract. Yeah, he'll miss Steve Nash; but unlike Boozer he also has the capability to get to the line and score on his own with his size and athletic ability.

I've always said Boozer is a 14-15ppg guy without a top shelf passer. If Rose continues to be a shoot first PG then Boozer's offensive numbers will drop off considerably.

...did you notice that our boy from Butler....received not ONE single vote? They know he's going to come into the league and DOMINATE!

How is Joe Johnson not #1?

Probably because he isn't a newcomer? He just resigned with his old team, right? After looking at the list I guess they do have Joe Johnson on there. Why though? He isn't a newcomer...

Isn't there a difference between worst newcomers and worst contracts? If we're talking about newcomers, then why is Joe Johnson on the list? If we're talking about contracts, then why is Evan Turner on the list? Do they really feel that he didn't deserve a rookie contract?

This list seems to not have one single consistent thought to it. It was like they got one of those bingo machines and put everyone's name in it. This list is what came out of the bingo machine.

Chicago has to deal with Carlos Loozer for 5 years, hahahaha payback for the 'Jordan push-off'.

The only payback that even would suffice for that would be Chicago getting a bogus call to lose a title or their team is relocated.

He averaged more points than that his second year in Cleveland (without a top shelf passer) and I'm fairly sure he's considerably improved his game since then. I'm as excited as anyone to be over the Boozer era and have Big Al but clearly you are one of those "fans" that could only focus on Boozer's weaknesses and never his strengths(scoring and rebounding).

As far as Boozer being the worst newcomer, he is far from it. He'll fit in nicely next to Noah (who will cover for his weak D) and provide the low-post scoring Chicago hasn't had in a decade. (Provided he can stay healthy--maybe he can't)

Boozer averaged 15ppg his second year in Cleveland; which was LeBron's first - he had a different role back then. Alot more put backs evidenced by his high number of offensive rebounds and a lot more garbage points around the basket. His game RIGHT NOW is dependent more upon teammates that can get him the ball in the right spots.

I'm not saying he definitely won't work out in Chicago - but did you see Rose's FGA/game last year? He takes almost 4 more shots per game than D-Will. That number is definitely going to have to come down if Boozer is going to maintain his 19-20ppg.

Posts about that guy, including this thread belongs in the General NBA forum. He is under contract with the Bulls now.

Big Al got two votes as the worst.
He also got a vote for Best, which means someone out there thinks he will make a bigger impact for the Jazz than LeBlow will for Miami. OTOH, someone voted for Tracy McGrady on the Best list too, even though no GM wants him even at the minimum salary. This just proves that the "experts" don't actually know jack, they just guess.

This is the stupidest article I think I've ever seen.

Worst newcomers:

#1 - Amare
#2 - Boozer

Best newcomers:

#1 - LeBron
#2 - Boozer
#2 - Amare

Credibility, gone.
