Are the Jazz the worst road team in the NBA?

Is there something about the way our team/FO handles going on the road that affects the performance this dramatically over such a long period of time.

Losing on the road is a Utah Jazz tradition from way back. We can't just blame it on the players at this point.

I don't think we should blame the fans. If not the players who is to blame, you think the coaches take the bulk of this?

They better win tonight verses the Raptors or this losing on the road thing could get real ugly. Plus the Jazz need to get the Raptors back for that crappy home lose last year.

i started reading your post as a question but then it ended with a period. dam i got all excited about answering and then was crushed by the lil dot.
anyway i think i can answer your question. the huge and unique homecourt advantage the jazz have hurts them on the road, i think.
players get very comfy and accustomed to playing at home, and then get rattled and surprised away.

Doh.

It's the altitude.

The 2 real home court advantages out there are Utah and Denver.

We go down to low altitudes and suck it up, while the other teams are used to it.

That's my story, and I'm stickin to it.

Wouldn't moving to a lower altitude help?

Besides altitude, the only constant the NBA and the Jazz have had in the last 30 years of being a mediocre-to-suckfest team on the road is terrible refs that call games differently for home teams and away teams (especially for smaller-market teams).

No one watches Jazz games besides the 50 people or so on Jazzfanz, so they don't see it as a big deal to screw them through the course of the game with bad calls, so the home team gets a win against a good team and the NBA will get more butts in the seats (aka. $$$) ... it's a win-win.
