NBA Columnist/Cavs Insider Sam Amico: "Jazz have made Burks available"

Honestly, if Utah is trying to shop Burks, they're doing an awful job at showcasing his talent for potential suitors.

and as far as the legitimacy of the rumor, consider this -- all the people saying KOC/lindsay didn't leak this are right; the jazz don't do that and it wouldn't help them get value back anyway. so who WOULD it benefit to leak this? if your answer is anything other than "alec burks' agent," try again. doesn't that turn anybody off? the guy is playing truly awful basketball right now and instead of focusing on playing better, they're starting a PR war to force a trade. ridick.

i like burks, and if he starts playing hard and playing the right way, i'll get right back on board. but i'm not going to give the benefit of the doubt to someone just because they were drafted 12th and lifted a lot of weights in the summer. play better.

He was solid in summer league and in preseason games.

After that this kid got DNPs first games, than played 2min, than again some crappy time.

So what are you talking about?

Ugh. Precisely the apologist stance I'm talking about. play better??? When the **** is he supposed to play better?? He hasn't had extended minutes since the summer league.. oh yeah, which he dominated. I guess he did play in the preseason too, and aside from his FT % what the hell did he do that was bad?

Are you in the practices? I find it unbelievable the certainty with which you speak about Alec's proposed "entitlement problem". Where is that even coming from? PROVE to me that you're not completely pulling that out of your ***. Please... even once source. Just one. Don't give him the benefit of the doubt because he was drafted 12th or feign props because he 'lifted weights' as you so put. Give him the benefit of the doubt because he can PLAY. For ****'s sake.

And seriously man, you're gonna cite his PER?? How many minutes has he played this entire season? Absolutely unbelievable.

I used to browse this forum a bunch during the offseason, before I finally registered. Aren't you the poster who talked about how little Carroll contributes to the roster, and that our team would be best off if he wasn't signed, or given any minutes period??

Yep, only a true idiot would quote an advanced stat like PER with 40 minutes played. He was right on the rumor part though, its mostly his agent looking out for Burks and, most importantly, himself.

I know Burks isn't a name, but we're going on 24 hours since this guy who, quite frankly, I've never heard of before in my life posted his Twitter comment.

I haven't seen anything else about this anywhere except a re-tweet on Hoopshype.

This may turn out to be just BS.

I guess once you make it, then it's ok not to show up some games.

I don't think Foye or Marvin showed up on the road trip, but that's ok why? Oh, yeah because they already made the rotation, and are vets.

Give me a break guys/negreppers. I have no clue why so many of you are set on trying to label me as a previous account. Its rather tiresome

You serious? Summer league was seriously the last chance he had to play and prove himself. That's what I was saying. But I bet it was worth it, ignoring comprehension to get a meme in.

Unless you have something else you want to say? Otherwise, feel free to just line up with the rest of the apologists.
 
If you're serious... I'll respond. But I think you're just trying to be a troll. I think its clear, from the context of my comment, that my reference to summer league was in that Alec has done everything we could have possibly ask him to do, dominated when he should have (and his last stretch of extended playing time), shown he deserves time, but has been treated extremely poorly. Summer league wasn't meant to highlight an underlying superstar dominance that we're suppressing, but rather, that he's a quality player and has shown so in his given opportunities. So do you have something to say to that troll? That's what I thought.
