So, did anyone notice in the scene where King Joffrey points out Ned Stark's head on the spike who head was also on a spike?

typical liberal trash at hbo like my dad always said. they say they were just using old props because they cant buy new ones but how about having one less head on a spike if the only option to put on it is our commander and chief. my parents cancelled hbo today and i cant say im to upset because i agree with it. i also said i can watch shows on hbo online to.

I was slightly disappointed with last night's episode because it didn't really show how ****ing smart Tyrion is. They left out The Chain.

This... I am sitting there the whole time saying, here comes the chain... Sure enough, it didn't come and was disappointing. The wild fire scene was cool though.

Your parents canceled HBO because of this? Good lord people are ridiculous.

Edit*
I read your post that made mention of your dads comments that put a Ute fan and 9/11 in the same sentence, I also skimmed your other posts.

So I have come to the correct conclusion that your parents, particularly your dad, are ****ing retards.

No offense hopefully.

Jk I hope you take offense since you follow in the line of retards.

Edit**

I hope your dad gets hit with a cement truck and gets frozen in cement much like han solo being trapped in carbonite, except not, since han solo wasn't a ****ing retard but a pretty cool dude, and it stops the impregnation of retardation with you and somehow you marry a decent women who doesn't pass on your retard fathers lineage.

Edit***
If only the same happened with The Thriller and Beanclown. We weren't so lucky.

You're too young to watch Game of Thrones anyway.

Well then it's a shame you missed the HBO Documentary of George H.W. Bush the other day (41) which was basically 100 minutes of Bush, as the sole interviewee, perpetually patting himself on the back for what a great human being he is.

BTW - Game of Thrones is gay.

I'm nearing the end of the second book. Man, they followed the first book almost to the word but really changed a lot in the second. 10 episodes simply isn't enough for a story this big. I'm really excited for season 3 but I'll be done with the series before it starts, so maybe waiting won't be so hard.

I don't want any spoilers but it seemed AP hinted that he didn't like the 4th book as much as the rest of the series. That sucks. Makes me wonder if the way all this gets wrapped up is a huge disappointment.

Anyone know how many episodes are in season 3? I wish HBO would make ~20 episode seasons. Why make near masterpieces in 9-13 episodes instead of going all they way and making an actual masterpiece?

You're right that season two was too short. Book two was a longer book, and it really could have used another few episodes to cover everything it should have covered. That was too bad, but I suppose budgets are what they are. They have a pretty generous budget already.

But the good news is that book three will be split into two seasons. This next season will cover roughly the first half of book three, and it will end with an iconic scene that takes place around the middle of book three... those who have read the books know which scene I mean.

As for book four... yeah, it was kinda disappointing. But for those who don't know, a big reason for this was that book four didn't cover a lot of the main protagonists at all. That was because book four had gotten so long that Martin literally cut out half the viewpoints and moved them to book five, so that book five almost became like like book four, part two: a lot of book five takes place at the same time as book four, just with a different character set in different places. For this reason, it's a virtual certainty that the TV show will weave books four and five together, and possibly start taking even more liberties to make it all mesh correctly.

What I'm really wondering is what will happen when HBO has covered all the material Martin has written. It took him five years to write book four and six years to write book five, and as Martin plans to write two more books, it seems safe to assume he won't be done with them by the time they've finished filming the existing novels. I'd imagine HBO will simply be forced to stop and leave the final books unfilmed. Hard to re-assemble a cast and crew after a years-long hiatus when most of them will probably be committed to other projects.

EDIT: BTW, book three is the best book by general consensus, so I'm hoping this next season will be even better than the others. I'm particularly looking forward to the Jaime-Brienne and Daenerys storylines.

I can't wait to see the third book be brought to the screen, but I hadn't heard it was going to be split into two seasons. Not sure how I feel about it, unless the two seasons are fairly close together (ala, Walking Dead). It took me about two months to read the 4th book. Until the end, I just wasn't into it enough to sit down and knock out a bunch of chapters in one sitting like I did with 1-3. I have a lot of other stuff to read right now before I dive into #5 or 4b.

I had also heard that one of the deals HBO negotiated with Martin was that he would have the last two installments out fairly quickly. We'll see.

I just watched the first episode and like the first 5 minutes of the second. If I do not like the series at this point would I like it later? Like are most game of thrones fans hooked at the very first episode or does it take a while? I am just not digging the series so far, it might be because they introduce a lot of characters rather then developing a few so I don't give 2 ****s or a pancake about any of the characters so far.
