Lost my fantasy football championship because brady decided to have a bad game and Jordy Nelson didnt play. And the Giants hopes are dead. Bad day for football. At least the Jazz won.

If the 49ers play Kap in the playoffs, I hope they get knocked out in the first round. I hope Alex Smith goes to a team that doesn't improperly utilize him either.

If you can't tell. I can't stand it when a player loses his spot on the team because of injury.

How did they improperly utilize him? Smith is a decent game manager and thats it. The 49ers used him perfectly. That being said I think Smith should have remained the starter because he has more experience.

Harbaugh used Smith well. I was venting more about the 10,000 offensive coordinators/schemes that Alex got stuck with prior to Harbaugh's tenure. San Francisco has given Smith a raw deal. He outguns Brees in the playoffs, yet loses his spot to Kap the next year (over an injury). The whole thing is extremely frustrating.

I am assuming I am correct but was hoping someone might confirm what I am thinking. If there is a 3-way tie atop the AFC(Donkeys, Texans, Patriots), wouldn't the Pats get the top seed? Seeing as how they've beaten both the Donkeys and the Texans?

Kap has played pretty well and has a MUCH MUCH MUCH higher ceiling. I think Smith should have been allowed to finish the year as I believe he gives them the best shot right now. This move might pay off in the long run though.

Niners gave up a chance to be Super Bowl favorites, so they could be a better team down the road.

Mind numbing.

Especially considering they could have had both! Anywhere near the success they had last playoffs and they have bargaining leverage with Smith and can start Kapernick next season. Win-win.

I thought three way ties are decided by conference record, but I'm not sure. I'm also to lazy to look this up right now... yes... I'm to lazy to use google or apparently use proper punctuation.

If you're starting Kaep next year, why would there be any leverage with Smith? There'd be zero leverage because there'd be a zero percent chance he'd re-sign there.

Yeah, I dunno. I'm confused.

Thought he was meaning that they could re sign Alex for cheap cuz they could say they would just start Kaep if he didn't re-sign, but that doesn't really make sense either.

Oh well.

Go Alex Smith, Go Utes, Death to the 49ers.

You're right about not having anything to bargain with. It would have still been win-win to stick with Smith through the playoffs then Kap has all next season to get acclamated to the offensive personnel and them to him. I just think they shot themselves in the foot this year by making the move they did.

Correct. Pats would be the 1 seed, Texans the 2 seed, and the Peyton's would be the 3 seed.

The Doncos aren't gonna lose. The Colts-Texans game should be interesting. Obviously us Pats fans will be pulling for the Colts and a #2 seed.

Put in five bets for year so far...

Bucs over 5 wins
Lions under 9.5 wins
Raiders under 6.5 wins
Falcons over 9 wins
Dolphins under 7.5 wins

Assuming the Pats beat the Dolphins, these all win. I also put in a few more which will all win too unless the Browns win this weekend. My NBA season ones are looking solid so far too.
