Heard the Bears asked the Broncos permission to talk with Mike McCoy. Interesting.

What are you talking about? Rex Ryan of the Jets was not fired, their GM Tannenbam was as was their OC. Mike Mularkey of the Jags was also not fired, their GM was.
That is what I am talking about numb nuts.
Nice edit.
BS. If I edited it just recently the post would show that.

Smith is kind of like Big Al. He puts up numbers, but is never going to be great. He holds the ball too long, takes too many sacks, can't throw deep and is often perilously close to a costly fumble (although he has improved in that area). Kap is like Favors. Pretty raw, but when he plays you can see the potential. This reminds me of the Steve DeBerg/Joe Montana scenario (yep, I'm that old). DeBerg was a pretty good QB. The 9'ers weren't a great team, but it wasn't his fault. And we know what happened. Montana took over and SF thrived under their new coach, Bill Walsh. Many parallels to SF now. Harbaugh knows what kind of offense he wants to run and he needs the running ability and deep-ball threat of Kapaernickto pull it off. That's the wave of the future...just look at Washington and RG3.Kap has played pretty well and has a MUCH MUCH MUCH higher ceiling. I think Smith should have been allowed to finish the year as I believe he gives them the best shot right now. This move might pay off in the long run though.
Huge smoke clouds regarding Chip Kelly in Cleveland, supposedly they are willing to give him more control than Philly would. Just rumors on a fan board FWIW.
