Lockup Burks

Get it instead of free burks it's lockup because really we don't want to bench him because he's playing great and why is earl watson playing at all these are questions I don't know the answer to but I don't think he'll ever get benched again like he was and also

Now we just need a decent defender that can be a threat from outside.

I dont understand this... Hayward and burks are both decent defenders and hayward is a threat from the outside

Maybe you are saying we need a point guard with those attributes?.... If so, i think fallen chicken was saying that with burks and hayward, we dont need one right now.

I like Burks' effort on defense and hope the pg by committee sticks until Mo returns.

Cough cough I remember getting ripped and neg rep. from one Cyrone Torbin for even suggesting that I "hope" Burks can play point guard for us in the future. An apology is in order Cyrone.

I've been suggesting all along that Burks, and Foye play together. They can both run the offense just as well if not better than
Watson. Having Burks on the court over Watson was one of my ideas to get him playing time.

We see now signs that of Corbin actually trying new things.

It seems that cobin usually eventually does the right thing... its just sad that the fans figure what he should be doing before corbin does.... Last year the fans knew burks should have been playing over cj miles and raja bell, it took injuries for corbin to figure it out. Last year fans knew tinsley should play more than watson way before corbin figured it out. This year we have bitched about substituting offense for defense at the end of games and corbin seems to be figuring that out finally. Alot of us have been wanting the jazz to play burks and foye at the same time with no true point for a while now, corbin just barely started giving it a try. He still hasn't figured out the one thing that jazzfanz have known for a long long time: Dont play jeffy and millsap together for long periods of time..... Oh and also, he needs to changed the starting lineup. He might figure those things out eventually too, but i would be nice for him to make good decisions BEFORE all of us on jazzfanz have already known what should be done.

Burks is going on the block. That's why he's getting playing time.

If that is the case then does that mean that Foye and Al and Millsap are also on the block and they are just on display right now? I'm sure that management was a little upset about the Al lack of defense and the many missed shots he had last night.

funny thing is, he didn't even really play PG in the traditional sense, so all the radio talk and twittergasms about how burks at PG "worked" is a little silly. basically he brought the ball up across midcourt and then passed to the wing and let foye/hayward initiate. not exactly steve nash type stuff there.

in other words, it didn't work because burks has PG skills, it worked because the plays we were running at that point didn't really require us to have someone with pure PG skills out there.
