Yeah right did you even watch the first half? Or are you sarcastic? Carroll was bugging the hell out of him. Less so in 2nd half, which is why Marv played more.
Lebron scored on him in the post like five times.

Personally I'm just tired of hearing everyone bitching about who is getting what playing time. It's just old now and people, right or wrong, just sound like broken records. JMO
I'm more concerned about getting wins and seeing the team, no matter who is in the game, execute on both ends. When we execute and play with intensity we win. And that's what it's all about. Play for today. There may not be a tomorrow! Great win!
Lebron was taking him to the post at will. Carroll did a decent job of at least making him work at times though.

He posted him up but I don't recall a lot of baskets. I feel pretty certain with this assertion.
There are those who have a ripping buzz over the victory tonight and are living more in this moment. That's fine. There are also many of us that like what happened tonight but see it more as Fool's Gold and want to see the Jazz stop throwing away giant fourth quarter leads and generally falling apart and would like to see Corbin being so craven that he wins two more games at the expense of a future that is much brighter (we hope). The fact then becomes that expectations are different and viewing realities are different. Some saw a win; that's it. Others saw the Jazz floundering all over themselves in the fourth with some very promising play from Hayward. It's not one or the other people, so who cares how someone takes a win. Those who like the overwhelming immediate buzz, enjoy! Those who want to see more from the Jazz, enjoy and keep on bitching! It makes things more interesting anyway.
I think others will back me up about Carroll v Lebron, in the first half.
Lebron had 8 points in the first half while Carroll was guarding him, 2 being FTs from a Big Al foul. What say ye?
1. Where are you getting that from?
2. 8 points in how many minutes?
10 minutes, from the 4 minute mark of first quarter to the 6 minute mark of the second
Definitely the key stat of the game. Jazz got all the rebounds. Utah got a little tight in the 4th, but held on. LeBron is impossible to guard, just like Kobe...but they made him work for his points and stopped his penetration several times. Bosh was a complete non-factor. I wonder if LBJ and DWade feel like he's the kid brother just tagging along for the ride?0 2nd chance points..... Let me say that again..... ZERO 2nd chance points!!!!
8 points in 10 minutes? Could have been worse, I suppose.
My thinking is that one of Hayward's biggest struggles guarding Lebron would be down low, where Carroll didn't have a lot of luck either.

Well, I did hear a few people say Utah will win over Miami when hell freezes over.Has Hell moved to Salt Lake? If so, then I guess it is possible.
When you go against guys like LeBron, Kobe, Durant, etc., you know they're going to get the ball a lot and the refs are going to give them calls. They'll get their points. But you absolutely have to make them work for them and hopefully expend energy on both ends. The way to defend is to rotate with 2-3 guys, give them different defensive looks. And that's 18 fouls you have if necessary. Lebron scored 32, but he wasn't a dominant factor. Miami looked very timid until their late run.I agree, the advantage as I see it is that both Carroll's fouls and energy are expendable playing defense (trying to) on Lebron. Either way who cares we won YEAASJSDKJALKSDMLASDASLDE
