Following potential 2013 draftees

I have brought him up before and been shot own but if he can be had in the second round I take him. Hs name is Doug McDermott. He is not very strong and he will never be your best defender but he can score from the inside, outside and midrange. He is shooting over 50% from behind the arc and over 55% from the field as the primary scorer for Creighton.

The more I think about it the more I think PKM is right. This crop of PG is just "Meh" ... each of them has at least 1 glaring fundamental weakness that it's hard to imagine them ever becoming anything but "average"....

Burke - finishing at the rim
Mcw - shooting
Smart - shooting, TO prone
MacC - more of a SG

There has been a real drought of PG's for sure. Wall, Lillard, Irving .. not a whole lot more.

This is the last of the famine years, though. There's some finally on their way.

FWIW, I think Marcus Smart's speed is at least comparable to players like DWill and Chauncey Billups. You just have to decide if you want that bruiser-style PG. Smart's athleticism in high school is somewhat comparable to DeShawn Stevens. He's not a jet, but he's definitely an NBA athlete. I also think the shooting will come around, largely because he seems mentally strong and determined.

Bad news for the Tankers and good news for the Jazz:

"@gswstats: David Lee out with a sprained left ankle. Since Lee joined GSW, Warriors are 2-16 without him (1-8 in 2011-12, 1-8 in 2010-11)"

MCW and the Orange knock off Louisville.

Not a good game though for MCW

Poor shooting as usual
7 assists - 8 turnovers

Can't see why some would consider him for what the Jazz need vs Burke.

Karma has caught up. And he's wearing a ski mask.

Yeah - I think they've won too many games too early this year. They've got no choice now but to shoot for the playoffs.

Also if we get a top 10 pick out of this, there's no way I'd be picking a PG.

Somehow make a trade to get Bledsoe would be my choice.

I would still draft Marcus Smart in the late lottery if we can and keep him as a combo-guard if we get a better PG down the line. I think he's going to be an impact player.

I don't think GSW could avoid the playoffs unless they tank. They could probably finish a few games below .500 the rest of the way and still make it. The West isn't as deep this year.

Yeah - the decision for them is either:

1) Tank hard enough to get back the pick from us (top 7 protected); or
2) Get to the playoffs.

Anything in between would just end up to be our pick and they would essentially gain nothing from this season.

Their records so far suggest that it's too late for them to get back the pick, so we should see them try hard to get a good position in the playoffs.

If the Jazz let Sap and Jefferson go without getting anything back, or just get picks for them, we will likely be picking in the top 10. The average age of the core (Favors, Kanter, Burks, Hayward) will only be 22, such young teams rarely do well unless one is a developing superstar. More importantly the bench will be complete ***.

Hope this has been the plan all along. If we are going to tank I think Lindsey and koc will save for a draft with the talent of 2014.

MCW may have had another bad shooting night but he had the last 13 points and made some stellar defensive plays to save the game. He has a nice looking shot, just got to practice and practice. I'd take him. His upside is ridiculous. If all 4 PG's are available at our selection, would be a very tough selection

The Syracuse/Louisville game was nuts. What a game.

MCW had a mixed night. I'd say Syracuse's worst moments and their best moments revolved around MCW. I would definitely say his great moments more than made up for his bad ones.

Dumb moments:

8 TO's speaks for itself. The Louisville defense is absurd. Like...wow.

Highlight moments:

MCW scored 10 of Syracuse's last 12 points, or something around that. And the other 2 points came from his assist. He drove the lane for a beautiful lefty lay up, then nocked down a clutch 3, then stole the ball on the second to last play to come down for a thunderous dunk which gave them the lead, then stole the ball on the last possession AGAIN to stop Louisville from scoring. MCW came up huge down the stretch to nock off the #1 team in the nation. You have to watch the highlights of this game.

God, I hope this happens. Please, let this happen. I'll just be sad I won't get to see it.
