Following potential 2013 draftees

I know some of you are saying that Burke struggled tonight but I thought he showed what I wanted to see. I must admit that I didn't catch the whole game but I did see most of the first half and the last 5 minutes in the second.

I am more a fan of Burke tonight then I ever have been. Imagine flipping between the Jazz and Michigan game. I would watch the youth get ignored on the PnR almost ever time watching the Jazz. The I flip the channel and see Burks getting into the lane and giving it to the bigs who would either fumble the ball or they could finish.

To me it seemed like Burke was a God send. I will cross my fingers.

You are seeing the light, young one. Come to the path of righteousness in following He who is known as BlackJesusBurke (or BJB as I like to call him). There is always room for one more :)

Marcus Smart, Michael Carter-Williams, Trey Burke, and potentially C.J. McCollum will all be picked in the lottery range, so if the Jazz stay at 16-18 I guarantee Smart, MCW, and Burke will all be gone. McCollum might still be there, but he is projected in the lottery right now. Myck Kabongo is the player I would like to see the Jazz pick, preferably at #24 but it all depends how well he does in the final eight games on the season for Texas, his stock might rise into the early-twenties or late-teens which then the Jazz could pick him at #17. Kabongo will return to Texas on February 13th against Iowa State and after that they have seven more games.

I don't agree with 100% of this, but your posts have been pretty damn good.

That is 4 PG in the top 16 picks. If the season ended today I can't see 4 teams that would used their pick on a PG

If we still got MCW I'd still be pretty happy. Still a better chance he'd be a productive player on the team in 5 years than any of our current PGs.

and he's the one with the most upside, imo..

I would take Burke first, but I'd be torn..

Phoenix, Dallas, Sacramento, and possibly Orlando are all ahead of us in the draft and have needs at point guard. Phoenix has two lottery picks right now and they will surely take one point guard with one of those picks. Dallas has a hole at point guard because they only have Rodrique Beaubois, Orlando has an aging Jameer Nelson, and Sacramento has a hole at point guard too with Isaiah Thomas and Jimmer Fredette and could use one next to Tyreke. Phoenix will take a point guard, Sacramento will take a point guard, and Dallas might take a point guard in my opinion, so one of the four of Burke, MCW, Smart, and McCollum will potentially fall to us baring we stay at #17. I don't really like McCollum as a point guard for this team because he is mostly a scorer but almost everybody has him projected in the lottery. Honestly, I would be really happy with Archie Goodwin/Victor Oladipo at #17 and Myck Kabongo at #24.

If the Jazz make the playoffs and have pick #15, #16, #17, or #18 there is a very slim chance for Trey Burke to fall to us and if they miss the playoffs and get #12, #13, or #14 there is a really good chance that Burke would be there.

I don't think Phoenix takes a PG with their first pick. Dragic is pretty damn solid and its a stretch to think any of this years crop will turn out better. McCollum and Kabongo will probably be all that's left where the Jazz pick, I'm not really comfortable with either of them so, like you, would just rather take Goodwin (if there) or Oladipo who both have a pretty high ceiling.

So they are already giving up on Marshall?
