I think it would be funny if the Spurs ever decided to roll out a front line of Jefferson and Blair
Also, throw in Tomic's rights. Spurs love Euro's, so it's possible that Tomic is enough to sweeten a deal in our favor.
What's up Richie.
Your comment got buried because there is a waiting period for new posters. All because this dude porn bombed us one beautiful sunday afternoon.
To tell you the truth. I'm not interested in any of the players being mentioned. I'd rather sell Al for a nice pick.So ya, I'd probably rather have the pick and green over Splitter. But none of those players excite me. But we are ready for the Favors era to begin, so we just want Al gone. So any deal at this point would be good. I would think that we should be able to get more for Al then just scraps though.

Hey Jazz fans, Spurs fan here, saw this story so came to get your opinions.
First of all, Splitter is a restricted free agent this year so I suspect if this trade doesn't happen, the Spurs will match almost any deal for him.
Secondly, I'm not sure the Spurs do this deal with Tiago. We are finally starting to see good results with him in the starting line up and he is pretty much our only decent big when Duncan is resting.
However, I do think a player like Danny Green would be on the trade block. Guy is young, capable defender and can hit 3s. Would a deal of Green + Mills + Jackson (for salary) + 2013 1st rounder for Al Jeff be enough for the Jazz?
Everything San Antonio touches turns to gold...don't be surprised if Big Al averages 24 and 12 and wins defensive player of the year in a Spurs uniform.
Spurs are not giving Jazz a starter.
No Leonard or Splitter.
Mills, Jackson, Blair are completely expendable.
Jefferson would be second unit firepower while resting starters.
No risk for Spurs.
If he stinks it up, Duncan, Splitter go right back in.
Everybody is saying addition by subtraction with Jefferson.
Get rid of Jefferson at all costs.
Spurs know this.
Jazz at least get some players back.
That's what the experts said about us, then Al came along. Half a season later Sloan calls it quits and we trade Deron even before he has a chance to demand a trade.
fixedWill also say since Al's arrival, I can't recall what a pick n'roll offense and defense looks like.
A). The Jazz have 15 man roster, we would have too add two players to that deal.
B). KOC has stated multiple times he would only deal Al if it helped the team long-term, as in, he is not interested in just dumping him for players he isn't interested in long-term.
fixed
Well, Spurs would pretty much be a sure fire Finals team. Al and Timmy front court will beat the Thunder.
Phil Johnson and Spence Checketts talking about this on 1280 now....interesting. Basically repeating what scorpjazz said. Makes Spurs instant contender for one more run....gives jazz a much needed point guard with an interesting talent in Splitter....frees up minutes for youth.
Wonder if Jefferson has heard this rumor.
