Edit: All players are in their prime for this question. I also considered Reggie Miller over Kemp for the All-Stars but I figured this team had enough shooters.

I voted Dream Team as I see them winning a 7 game series about 55-60% of the time.

SF: Slight advantage All-stars
SG: Medium advantage Dream Team
PG: Big advantage Dream Team

Overall, I'll give a slight edge to Dream Team because I think their team chemistry would be better. But it's a lot closer in my mind than I thought it would be when I initially read the question.

That is what i was going for. I tried to make a team that would really challenge the Dream Team.
 
Not only that but both of these teams are fairly versitile. For example Duncan can play PF or C; Barkley PF, SF; Magic, PG, SG, SF; Durant SF, SG...
 
Lebron/Durant would absolutely destroy Pippen/Bird. Also Dirk in his prime would give Malone and Barkley fits from outside. I am going to have to go with All Stars.

I agree that Nowitzki would give Malone and Barkley fits outside but aside from a prime Kemp they would be man handled inside if Ewing and Robinson can draw Shaq and Olajouwan out of the paint.

I'd be very interested in the Kobe/Jordan and Lebron/Pippen matchups.
 
I voted for the Dream Team, but it would be a great matchup that I'd expect to come down to the wire 8 or 9 times out of 10.

They would still have duncan to go against malone and barkley, so they wouldn't be manhandled inside
 
I take the all stars

I like the all stars better at the center position, power forward position, and small forward postition..... jordan is better than kobe but not by a ton, and i think wade is a little better than drexler so the shooting guard position is MAYBE a little better for the dream team..... A healthy derrick rose and chris paul are an amazing one two punch at point guard, although i still go with the dream team at the point guard position.

So you are going to play Duncan a full 48? Everyone of these players is a proven superstar let alone a starter. Justify to yourself sitting one of them almost the entire time.

Can Duncan handle Malone and Barkley? Yes. Is he going to play a full 48 against a rotating Barkley and Malone? No.

Each side has numerous options for attacking weaknesses of the other team and adjusting to attacks on their own weaknesses.
