Millsap for Bledsoe?

If the tweet about Lindsay going into the locker room is true that one seems to have some meaning behind it. How often do GM's go into the locker room post-game?

That said it seems like really weird timing to let a player know they could be traded, wouldn't it make way more sense to do it sometime tomorrow morning??

Yeah, what was that Lindsey + Milsap exchange, eh? And why is Milsap happy? I can't see him being happy to be traded. I don't think most players like getting traded because it means you have to move your family.

I agree. That sequence, as a whole, points towards a trade.

If anything, this makes me more inclined to say Lindsey let him know a deal was under way. I think there's a reasonable chance Millsap has been frustrated here for a while, and he knows Favors and Kanter are just waiting to grab his starting spot, now he finds out he may be traded to a big market that's also a title contender? I'd be smiling, too.

Wow you guys are optimistic. If was was told that I'm currently in the process of being traded but don't know who it's gonna be - man I'd be PISSED!!! Definitely wouldn't be smiling!!!

I think it's more likely he told Millsap "Hey I know these trade talks are hard on you - let me assure you - you'll finish this season as a Jazz. Let's win this thang!!"

If a GM tells someone they may be traded, he's at least going to tell him where he's going.

If Lindsey went in there to either let Millsap know about a trade or to reassure him they're not making a trade that's a pretty cool move on his part. Far cry from Deron hearing about his trade on Sportscenter.

Reassure him with 2 days still left on the deadline...unlikely.

Honest question: do you think he wants to stay in Utah and play for the Jazz? Maybe Lindsey said: Thanks for being a pro and handling this trade-rumor stuff. We think you're an important part of the future, and we want to give you a 4-year deal to stay in Utah.

Actually wouldn't Garnett be useless against most teams they'll go up against? OKC doesn't have a low post game, so Garnett's defensive prowess would be irrelevant. Same thing with the Heats.

I don't think Garnett can chase around the likes of Ibaka, Bosh, etc, anymore.

Of I were the Clippers I'd go with Millsap over Garnett - cheaper & less drama.

That's exactly what I thought Lindsey said. That's why I said "Damn" as in "I'm disappointed".

It's KG, not Perkins. He brings more to the table than low post d.

I think the Clippers did something like this.....

To Atlanta: "Hey, can we have Josh Smith for the stretch run? We'll give you Butler and Odom. No?"

To Boston: "Hey, can we have Garnett or Pierce for the stretch run? We'll give you Butler, Odom and Bledsoe. No? Okay. Yeah, I get it--they're legends."

To New Orleans: "Hey can we have Eric Gordon for Bledsoe and Butler? Not ready to move him? Okay, sure we understand."

To Utah: "Okay guys, I think we can do this. Lets start the paperwork."

If I were Millsap and I were going to LA to play with Chris Paul, I might be smiling too.

From the Clips standpoint, Lamar Odom isn't exactly thrilling this season. Millsap is an upgrade over Odom for sure.

If that's the case - wonder why the rumor mill hasn't caught onto this yet though.. now that it seems to be serious... usually they're pretty good with these things..

Drama? Have you ever heard of help defense or team defense? Did you know KG has spent most of the last two years playing center?

I wouldn't be shocked if the answer is "no" to any of those.

I'm sure the Clips would rather have Garnett this year, but they'd have to give up DeAndre Jordan, and there's no guarantee that Garnett won't retire after this season, meaning the Clips would no longer have a center. Then there's the whole Garnet-has-a-No-Trade-Clause thing.

Edit: I'm not sure Bledsoe + DAJ is enough value for KG.
