Here's a set I'd love to see the Jazz run much more after Mo gets back. NAOS and I talked a bit about it last post season when Popovich constantly abused the Jazz with it as Tony Parker torched us with his relentless north to south action, as NAOS liked to say. Mark Jackson is running a ton of this and having success.

This is going to work very well IMO because of Kanter's rebounding cleanup, and hopefully an above average ability to finish in transition on screen the screener PnR action.

Tinsley and Watson aren't efficient enough PnR players so it's limited to other action like this.

Carroll screens Millsap for a layup, then gets a screen from Favors for an open shot.

Notice the Big Lineup, and Sap the only vet.

Kanter and Millsap get into excellent short rebounding position while Favors covers long from the foul line to baseline, and Favors, Carroll, Burks in great defending position.

Ty runs it with Al too. He scored on the following play even though he did pretty much everything wrong. Tinsley set up way too high for the screen, then Al put him into a double team where Al was the only outlet, and Al ran right between two defenders making it nearly impossible to pass without turning the ball over. The setup made Millsap useless as a 2nd screener and took both wings out of the play.

For example, did you notice 1/2 those plays were a two man game similar to what Sloan used to run with role players like Greg Foster of all people. Did you notice Millsap and Hayward running PnR? Don't you think that has potential with Hayward's growth? Isn't Millsap hitting that wing jumper something that defines him? Try mixing a little bit of that into your Bigal hate.

The last one even has a wide open skip pass to Tinsley as a viable option with a player like Mo Williams or even Burks.

most of the problems start and end with big al. whether it is his offense or his "defense"
he is boxing out his own teammates, he is putting screens for his own teammates.
i aint saying millsap is perfect. but he hustles dives for looseballs has effort.
if al was playing 20-24 minutes a game. and not being the most inneficient (bulk) chucker on this team this would be a better team, more enjoyable.
big al is the opposite of jazz basketball.
not saying without big al we go 82-0. but it would be as enjoyable as 2003-2004 team.

this is een alcentric team. I am bitter, pissed off that jazz basketball is gone. and al is THE biggest reason WHY.

so until he is gone i will be consitent.
i will not sing his praises when he has 3 perfect home games against crappy teams.
i will start singing his praises if he plays up to his salary for atleast half the games(he should do it 80-90%).
until then i know that with every great game there are crappy (road) games around the corner.
every single minute he plays it's taking away from every single jazz player.

I know that it is a fact that marvin will play better WITHOUT al. thats why hayward had to go to the bench. hayward would be almost as crappy as williams in the starting unit if it played the alfense.


SCREW big al he needs to go.

I'm pissed off beyond belief at this big al - corbin duo
we got 2 number 3 picks and they cant even play a total of 40 minutes becuase of this lazy kermit the frog looking guy thinks al is the mvp and is the highest player and should be team captain.


I payed for nbalp i hope it's ok with u that i show my displeasure.
i cant be at the games booing corbin and al.
or have a sign saying just one game.
so i'm venting my frustration here.

^^Now THAT is a rant worthy of praise! You made it through the trade deadline, you can nake it another 30 games. Lindsey has telegraphed that Jefferson will be gone & I have no reason to believe they haven't tried to trade him for something of value/not crippling summer '13 cap.

They've played him, they've tried to keep his value high, and the rooks aren't going anywhere until growth and cap space additions to the core anyway.... s'all good this summer. If he's not gone then I will have a nervous breakdown and create a Bozzer voodoo doll to take it out on. I'll snap with you.
