I think they mean that the answer is so obvious (millsap at 9 per) that the thread should be closed ( / )

I disagree. First of all, if he wanted to be paid less than 10 per than he would have accepted the three year extension that they offered him in the offseason which tells me that he not only wants to start, but he wants to get paid like a starter which the team definitely can't afford and stay under the cap AND be competitive. I voted Al, although after what Kanter did in the last game i'm not so sure about that. If Kanter keeps up what he's doing and if Favors decides to learn some footwork than I say both Al and Sap go and we bring in journeymen to back them up.

you voted al?

ooh really.
after i read you voted al i stopped reading

Sure I voted Al, you know, our top scorer and the only player on the team that can be looked to for a basket at the end of the game.

You know? Him?

I know he has defensive limitations, he isn't ... (um, what center is better in the NBA right now? Howard doesn't have much of an offensive game and the rest are stretch fours) Anyway, if he was a complete player than he would be getting max money. If he gives a home town discount like Memo did than hey, why not?

I've come to the conclusion I wouldn't want Al back for the vet's minimum. He's a very good player, but us re-signing Al for any amount guarantees Kanter or Favors coming off the bench for the next 5 years.

Totally agreed with this. Favors needs to start after that Bobcats performance. Bringing back Big Al is BAD NEWS.

^ This!!

I think Big Al is a great guy, A great teamate, a really offensive post player, but a poor defensive presence. If we keep him, than Kanter and Favors won't be able to get the minutes they should. the truth is that we just can't win with Big Al. Wish him the best though.

he isnt even the best big guy on the team.
he is the 6th best big on the jazz
after kanter milsap favors, evans marvin(at 4).
and read an article in desret news that even haywar dis a better center in practice.
so he is the 7th best big on the jazz

Thought it was super legit that he hobbled out of the lockeroom to give Kanter a Big Hug and congratulate him on his 20 20 game. This should not be ignored. Big Al is a good Dude!! :)

Millsap but only if he agrees to be the team six man, first big off the bench- otherwise shop elsewhere for a third big.
Worse case if Marvin picks up his option he can split PF minutes with evans(at min 10 mins per game) and have
35mins starters mins to Kanter and Favors

Evans better than Al? The Jazz may not sign him this offseason, but whoever does will be paying him at least 10 mil, more likely 15-16 mil per year. He is a talented player, he just isn't good for the current Jazz team because of our young core.
