Porter is playing on ESPN2 tomorrow. Finally, I'll be able to get a feel for him.
Who they playing?
Also, don't forget UK (WCS) playing Thursday on ESPN.

Thou shall not use Otto's name in vain.

Hotttknickkk was smited.
Well, I wouldn't have done it to Black Jesus "Trey Burke".
But I thought Otto "Moses" Porter was fair game?
I mean, it's not like he's Holy?!?!
The great smiter is spreading rep right now, I bet..
I just want everyone to know that I think that WCS is the best fit for this team as part of a 3 big rotation.
I've made this assertion in the "Bold Prediction" thread - WCS could end up being the best player in this draft.
But he's absolutely the worst fit for our team NOW. We currently have 2 guys who are best positioned as a C. We do not need ANOTHER C. Calipari had this problem at the beginning of the season trying to play WCS and Noel together. Even if you think the 3 of them could co-exist - he's wayyy too inexperienced to be paired with Favors & Kanter. We need someone Favors & Kanter can take something from, not the other way round.
Having said that, I'd still take him if he's available when we pick. Hold onto him for 1 year and trade him for next year's top 7 pick (Kasey Hill?).
Serious question. Who would you rather have WCS practice against and watch what they give when on the court? Kanter or Jefferson.
I want him to go up against Fesenko. But I guess Kanter will suffice.
We're not talking dancing.
I would rather a young guy watch Kanter play 100% on both ends. DEFEND. RUN the floor. Box out. Fight. Do the dirty work.
Then watch Jefferson demand the ball, take a butt load of shots, and play weak defense and not box out. I don't need his veteran nuggets of wisdom.

WCS would be the best of those three in defending stretch 4's.I've said all along we should sign Millsap to something around $9m to come off the bench next year while Kanter & Favors start. If we can't get him, then get someone like Landry, or Splitter, or take Gasol off Lakers for his last year.
Would I draft WCS if he falls to us? Absolutely.
Is he a great long term fit with Kanter & Favors. Absolute not. (unless 1 of those 2 is committed to play PF full time, chasing around stretch 4's, etc).

Can we afford pay those 3 bigs big ca$h though? Kanter & Favors would already cost us quite a bit. We'll end up having to trade one of the 3 regardless. WCS would be too much of a project. I'd say draft him, keep him 1-2 years then ditch him for a stud PG. That would be my plan if he's available.
Do you know if he's coming out this year, just quietly?
