Seems perfectly reasonable to me. He's a guy that has obviously had/has mental issues in the past, is getting them dealt with, thanked the people publicly that help him with it, and people think that's funny.

The way mentally ill people are treated is really ridiculous. Even you guys thinking it's funny.. why is it funny? Enlighten me, because you kind of seem like an *** to laugh at somebody because they have an illness.

I don't particularly care for Artest, but it's a nice gesture. I wonder less and less every day why people around the country say that Jazz fans are idiots.
 
I hate Artest, but I think it's sweet. I think it's cool also he is making a difference for something he has a passion about.
