I wouldn't compare Wolters to Scott Machado, if that's who you were referring to Peek. I'll wager that Wolters moves up draft boards in the tournament and in workouts. He's had big games against decent teams. He put up numbers against Tony Wroten and Terrence Ross at Washington a year ago.
 
You know who I think is going to be really good is James Mcadoo. He's got a lot of good talents.

He's be perfect for the Jazz system. He's right in that a area that we will be drafting.

Granted I only have seen Wolters play one complete game along with some highlights, I didn't get the feeling he was dominating the ball. He was running the offense and he controlled the game with his passing. His defensive effort was great. Of course it is hard to judge because of the level of competition but when he has played against "real" competition he has not wilted.

I haven't seen enough of the kid to pick him with our second pick but to simply say you wouldn't because he is from a small college, white or whatever reason is short-sighted. After the testing (combine) and if he can athletically compete at the NBA level why not consider the kid. The Jazz need two PGs, besides the fact that the 20th pick is a crap shoot. There really is little difference a lot of times between the talent at 20 and the talent at 33rd. Yea I know the contract is guaranteed but it is small money considering how much cap space the Jazz will have.

Again, my last post was not me getting all excited about drafting the kid but it had more to do with my surprise about how good the kid looked. I will definitely watch him in the tournament to see if my initial excitement was exaggerated or not.
 
Hears an idea.

Why not trade our two picks this year to a team like the Bobcats for their pick next year. The cats are a team that could use three picks to help with their rebuild. Would a team like the cats or Wizards do this if so is this a good move for us, seeing as the 14 draft is supposed to be much stronger.

Thoughts?

draft wcs, saric and wolters.

I am still on the Burke band wagon but if he is not there I like wolters over McW.

not sure where I put bongo. need to watch more vids.

not a lot of 3s that I am getting excited about in this draft. porter is first but he will be gone. saric is a stretch 4 in my opinion.

rumor has it the jazz are trying to get another 1st in 2014. I would be down with that.

So you think SDSU will win a game? They are projected at a 14th seed.

The Bobcats would never do that, unless there is some kind of protection on the pick.

Yea, I've read the talk here about him being a 1st rounder but I don't think it happens. I still see him in the 2nd, just early 2nd. I can see that Jazz using an asset to move up into the early second round.
