I'm officially on the Burke bandwagon. For what it's worth, Rick Majerus told us at his basketball camp years ago that the two slowest point guards in the NBA (at the time that he said this) were Andre Miller and John Stockton, but at the time, they were leading the league in assists and were scoring well. Majerus said that speed matters to a point, but that effectively using change of pace and change of direction actually matter a lot more. I remember him saying that the average NBA point guard needed three speeds to be effective in the NBA and that Stockton wasn't quick nor fast, but that he had six speeds... He dissed Jacque Vaughn pretty hard saying that he would never be an NBA player because he only played at two speeds, fast and slow... he also said that Stockton didn't look like he had a fancy handles, but it didn't matter because he could change direction as well as anyone in the NBA.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that Burke is plenty fast enough, and it looks like he has great hesitation moves/has great control over the pace he plays at. He doesn't seem to really rely on going full bore all that often. I'm a fan and I don't think his lack of top end speed is going to be his limiting factor in the NBA.
