Following potential 2013 draftees

Realistically the farthest the Jazz could fall is 12th. Dallas is 31-34, Portland is 30-34, and the Jazz are 33-32. I could see them easily getting passed up by Dallas and Portland, the good thing is Michigan got bounced out of the Big 10 tournament early and Burke can't dominate and help his stock out any. I feel like Michigan needs an early exit from the NCAA tournament as well just to make sure Burke doesn't get too high in the draft rankings.
On a side note wouldn't it be cool to see Burke get drafted at #12 just like Alec Burks did?

Yeah that would be real special bro! We can have Kanter & Favors both 3rd picks, Hayward at 9th pick and Burke & Burks at 12th picks. 3 + 9 = 12!! How about that !!!! Burke to Burks for the TREY!!

Exactly - that's what I'm worried about. He can make plays, but can he run a team? We know Burke can.

That's why it may be crucial to overtake Dallas and get that #12 pick.

I really doubt Dallas is going to draft a PG in this draft. It's ladled with big men and they need bigs.

They also need a future PG though, unless they're happy with Collison (I don't think they are).

If they take a big - great - but we can't count on that. If we overtake them, that's much safer.

It's a long way away but I wonder who the Jazz would pick if every point guard (not named Marcus Smart) on still on the board?

Well let's compare attributes of a PG that we know KOC likes and possible PG draftees:

1. Guys who are big for their position (MCW, McCollum, Wolters)

2. PG that can shoot - i.e., his reason for getting Mo (McCollum, Burke, Wolters)

3. PG that can pass/control the game - i.e., Watson/Tinsley mold (Burke, Wolters, ... MCW to a certain extent)

But..

Most of all KOC doesn't like to take risks.. due to the nature of the market, etc. MCW's shooting is a risk. McCollum's ability to run an offense is a risk. Wolters' athleticism is a risk. Moreover, I think he'll place the most weight on criteria No. 3 and take a PG he is 100% sure can pass/control the game, hit the occasional 3's.

On that basis I think he'll go with Burke.

I think Burke is the obvious choice, although I think they'd be tempted by McCollum.

I also think they will work out Kabongo, and if they like him, they'll take a bigger player with their first pick and Bongo with the second.

Still I think Burke is basically the Tony Parker of this draft. I can't see the Jazz passing if he's there.

Think Burke 70%, McCollum 15%, Kabongo 10%, Young/Wolters 5%.

Good post. Though I would put it more like this after workouts/interviews;
Burke 50%
McCollum 48%
Bongo 2%

What up UGLI? where you at? You gonna let pkm just diss kabongo like that?

He's camping in Zion. Bongo's backup is busy being bear bait.

Lol.... repped.

Im glad he is taking advantage of the nice weather..... i just went on my first fishing trip of the year on thursday! Caught 5 browns and 4 cutthroat, awesome day

Ok so maybe McAdoo isn't what I thought he was I'll take PKM and Cy's word for it. I really want to upgrade the sf spot. Who should I look at for the sf position in this draft between 14 to 21 picks or is there no good options in this range of picks?

So you guys are saying there is a 0% chance that the Jazz will get MCW?
