Following potential 2013 draftees

Shooting, passing, floor vision, poise, BB IQ, decision making and hesitation moves should separate Burke from these guys. Burke's challenge will be getting to the rim and finishing in the lane.

People always talk about players' elite quickness, but the reality is that players play at game speed, not at a full sprint.

I'm starting to think that MCW is going to start slipping and Burke is going to end up being taken before him and before we get a chance to pick him.

I could picture a team that wants a PG taking him as early as 8 - 10. If he were like 2 inches taller, he'd be almost certainly a top-10 pick. Jazz will be lucky to get him. For some reason all the mocks have him in our draft range though. Hope that holds.

I looked up at their college stats (last year of play) and at first glance Augustin's & Flynn's stats are very similar to Burke. For assists Burke is at 6.7 this year, Augustin was 5.8 and Flynn's was 6.7. FG percentages were 47.9%, 43.9% and 46%. 3pt percentages were 40%, 38%, 32%. Burke is slightly better in passing/floor vision (assists), shooting (FG% and 3pt%), but not by a great margin.

One stat that stood out the most was Assist/Turnover Ratio, Burke is at 3.3, Augustin 2.1 and Flynn 2. This does support the view that Burke is better at decision making (he's able to produce high assists pg, while keeping TO to a minimum).

Offensive rating (points produced through FGs, FTs, Assist, ORB, per possession) - Burke is at 124, Augustin 116 and Flynn 112. So Burke is clearly better when taken all the offensive stats into account.

I haven't been that impressed with any of the top draftee candidates in the conference tournaments except for Wolters and Otto Porter (he even had a bad game).

I think we first try to get Burke & MCW. If we somehow missed out on them, then we turn back to Bledsoe and use x1 pick & Millsap S&T for him. I don't think that's too much for Bledsoe at all.

Under this scenario, we've still got at least 1 pick to develop, albeit the GSW pick.

That is way too much for Bledsoe. Millsap is better than Bledsoe and you want to give them a pick. I am with Numberica here. I like Bledsoe athleticism but he hasn't proven to me that he can run a team. He is more of a fast break, undersize SG.

Besides why would the Clippers want to spend big money on Millsap when they already have big guys with big contracts. Millsap would be coming off the bench on the Clippers.

Not comparing them to Paul or Williams just merely saying it is pretty close on who the better prospect is but right now it's Burke > MCW and everybody else thought Paul was better than Williams as well.

Paul was/is better than williams

Damn, Bongo REALLY sucks.
He didn't shoot well and had a few too many turnovers, but he did have 7 assists 5 boards and two steals

not necessarily if the jazz have already decided not to resign him, but do a sign and trade, really all we're giving up is the pick, and I'd do that.

Am I the only one that is high on Canaan? I'm the only one who ever talks about him, however that might be the reason considering my track record with pg's on this board lol. I see him as a Ty Lawson, super quick very good ball handling skills, but a better shooter then Lawson. I just have a feeling he will be a top 5 pg to top 7 pg in 5 years.

I can't help but think everyone would like him more if he played for a bigger school.

I've seen plenty of Kabongo, Burke, MCW and am now firmly on the McCollum-or-bust wagon for our PG search.

Smart's out of reach, and I've never seen Wolters play...

Damn, that is a pretty lofty prediction.

MGC for lyfe.
