Following potential 2013 draftees

lol hotnickkkkk challenges me to a fight then logs off.

Dudes a troll, a bully, and an Internet tough guy all rolled into one.

I have been luke warm on Burke. I wasn't that impressed. I know everyone has bad shooting nights but it seemed he struggled getting past Wolters who is suppose to be an average athlete. He couldn't guard Wolters on defense. Michigan switched Burke off and put bigger guys on him. I know it is one game, but if Burke is a first round pick than Wolters is a late first round pick.

I saw weaknesses in both guys games and do not see stardom in either player.

Agreed on overall assessment on Burke - but that's why he can probably be had at around #14 which is where we're picking...

He's not going to be a star player, but he can be a steady distributor who feeds Favors & Kanter, low TO's, who can knock down occasional 3's then I think he's worth a #14 pick.

I saw most of the 2nd half of the Michigan game. Here are a few quick observations:

- Burke looks small. If he's 6'0", he barely makes it. He's likely to struggle going up against NBA-sized defenders, especially if he gets doubled. Finishing in the lane might be out the question unless he gets a wide open lane.
- The whole SDSU team didn't look prepared to deal with Michigan's size, athleticism and ability to push tempo. They got overpowered basically.
- Wolters has a hard time getting past defenders. He can get them on his hip and buy a little space with a hesitation move and quick-release, but he doesn't look like he's in command with the ball. He's going to have to get quicker, stonger and more intense in order to score well at the next level.
- Wolters' defense is going to be okay, not great, but probably good enough.
- If Wolters works hard on his strength, improves his ability to finish in the lane, and plays within a system, he could probably become a Greivis Vasquez-type player. He's got a couple of speeds and a quick release. He drew a bigger defender, which is a plus I guess.

Not terribly excited about either guy.

I switched over to see some of the UNLV game. Bennett doesn't look as polished as I thought he would. He's got a heavy body and heavy legs. It helps him on the low block, but not so much out on the floor. He tends to stand and be a bit static rather than be in constant motion like an SF might be expected to do. He's going to need to get in a bit better shape and sharpen his shooting touch, which comes off a bit flat. He's undersized in the post and won't be terribly hard for long defenders to block. He's looking like he's not quite an SF and not quite a PF, although he's clearly a PF for UNLV. He runs the floor well, handles well, and makes an adequate, not great, effort on defense. He looks similar to Derrick Williams with a better handle and a game that's more below the rim.

I am one of the biggest Wolters supporters, but obviously Burke is the better player.

I agree with this as well. I would add that if Burke is better it isn't by much.

Like PKM said, this is a weak draft. Every draft able PG had looked bad today.

Alright alright hats off to kkk for withstanding the UGLI full court press.

Back to dorking out over these dudes.

Today seems like an odd time to take a break from analyzing the **** out of prospects, but.......I'm tired.

Lead the way, UGLI! I need some fun right now!

Burke's jumper wasn't failing tonight but still played a smart game with 7 assists and only 2 turnovers. Wolters reminded me of Luke Ridnour and could see a similar type of career for him. He plays very small for being 6'4". GRIII was most impressive. Looked like a pure shooter knocking down set jumpers and off the dribble.

I missed out on this whole thing so........
