Following potential 2013 draftees

Detroit could be a sleeper to take Burke.

They're picking #6 ATM, according to DraftEx - Oladipo, Bazz, Porter are still there...

I'm more scared about the Kings.. they're just so unpredictable. Portland also.. they just like to screw with us for fun. We need Portland to overtake us just to be sure.

Last 10 games = 16+pts, 10+rbs, 1.8blks and not much help.. for a kid that is a one-and-done rookie..

Sorry for the interruption, now troll away.

I think he'll be way good. Couple all star appearances.

But he was hyped as the best prospect since Lebron, unless I have a bad memory.

He won't live up to that.

Yay... 500 pages!!!

PKM - what do you think about free reps for those posting on this momentous page in JazzFanz history??!!

Guys just saw this highlight re Michigan's win today and noticed how Burke was able to break down the defense & feed to McGrary in the post (twice in that highlight reel - 0.45m mark onwards). I think that's something that should translate to the NBA considering both Favors and Kanter are good finishers near the rim. (Ok may be something Kanter can still improve)

Damn it. Why can't Burke suck it up in the tourney. Now he'll be picked top 10.

:)

I don't know how someone couldn't be excited if a talent like Shabazz fell to us. He's got his problems, but man, falling out of the top 10 in a ridiculously weak draft would just be crazy.

Not impressed with Shabazz at all. The kid reminds me of a Al Jefferson at SG. He is a black whole and does not make his teammates better. Add in the bad body language when things don't go his way and everything I have read about his family is all I need to know that the kid has entitlement issues.

I would pass on the kid if the Jazz had a chance to take him. Besides what is he a SG or a SF, I just think he is too small to be a SF and too unathletic to be a SG. I would rather take Olapido than Shabazz.

If he falls I say take him and see what interest he has with other lottery teams. Right before the deadline next year trade him and get a 2014 first round pick.

Of course Corbin will need to be gone because you will need to showcase Bazz and let him dominate in a controlled environment in order to get the best return possible.

Someone may have said that, I'm sure, but I never heard it. For the record, here are the accolades I've either heard or I said myself;

Best freshman to impact the game, in modern times, maybe ever. (me)
Best shot blocker in college in modern times. (everyone/me)
I never said much about how he'll impact the NBA.. except general statements such as he'll be very, very good, etc..

Also, we have to listen very closely to what scouts, media, etc say .. most are referring to how a kid projects from HS to college or how a kid has impacted the college game. Other times, they are projecting the NBA.. and sometimes it's confusing/ambiguous.

Wiggins, for example, is being dubbed the 'next' at the NBA level and being called an absolute next Kobe, Lebron, Jordan. Davis was never spoken of in that way, to my knowledge, but more just tons of praise as a rim protector with loads of upside.

I've noticed it.. but where are you guys hearing 'Bazz could fall that far.. or did someone on here just start that rumor? No way he falls anywhere CLOSE to us.

I could bump what I said about 'Bazz before the season even started... but it went something like this;
.
'Bazz is an incredible talent but his entourage (not his fault) has told him how great he is for so long that he is currently (back then) a me-first guy and is unaware of team.
These guys rarely turn that around, however, 'Bazz is a tirelessly hard worker, has an intense motor, and is a fierce competitor .. so I can see where the right coach can help direct his focus and rebuild his on court values. I hated seeing him go to Howland......
.
All of the above is still true.. for better or worse.

So, TtT.. remember when me and your buddy Wes were arguing over Ben Howland? Wes was offering praise and criticizing my being critical of Howland?

Please let Wes know I was right .. right down to the detail that he would be fired after the season.

Yea, I've been thinking about that since the news started leaking that he is gone. Is it official now or are you just speaking through your connections?
