Enes Kanter's National Team Participation

The Turkish team literally chucked three after three, and gave Kanter hardly any playing time. Any touches he got, he got because he was able to rebound one of Turkoglu's bricks. I don't think I saw a guard pass to any of their big men once.

Like I said earlier, the Turkish team has a joke for a coach. It would have been a waste of time for Kanter to go through that again.

Pretty sure some of these posters want Armenia to thank them for helping them form their own country as well. So, I'd take their bitching with a grain of salt.

You guys are not able to see the BIG picture of this story. How can we blame Kanters problems with his national team on BIG-AL ? Or how can we put BIG-AL on a negative context with this topic ? Maybe dutch could help us ? hmmm...

Kanter can not play for his national team, because AL was not able to DEFEND him well enough against the turkish GM !!! Can we go with that ?

So McGibblets, as you are an expert, educate us about Turkish history and how this is related to basketball. I would really want to learn how you see us, assuming you've been here, and know some of us in person.

Armenians & Turks = old friends
new enemies (almost a century).
look at my Armenian nick;
it's half Turkish (=Tarkan part)

You're delusional. Every society has a culture and hierarchy of values of their own. Enes knows what his people expect from him and if he yet chooses to do whatever he was being criticized of, he will be aware of his guilt. Or try to ignore it.

Anyway, it would be good for both sides to stop being babies and work together and I hope they do.

I can't believe how entitled the Turkish posters here feel to Kanter's basketball skill. I've read comments that basically claim Turkey gave Kanter his skills and his chance to play in the NBA and therefore Kanter is obligated to Turkey and has to do anything and everything that Turkey wants of him.

Kanter is his own person living his own life. If he wanted to participate in the Turkish NT that would have been awesome. If he doesn't want to it doesn't make him a bad person and it doesn't mean he's ****ting on his heritage.
