ESPN:Utah's draft focus if it can't get a PG

I can't share all of it with you, obviously, but here is an interesting part:
"Unless the Jazz trade picks to move up in the draft, they could very well miss out on Smart, Burke and Carter-Williams -- especially if Dallas ends up picking ahead of them.

If that happens, expect the Jazz to focus on one of these small forwards:
•Glenn Robinson III, Michigan, Fr., (No. 16 on Big Board)
•Dario Saric, Croatia, (No. 19 on Big Board)
•Alex Poythress, Kentucky, Fr., (No. 20 on Big Board)

Robinson hasn't indicated whether he'll leave school, and Poythress already said publically that he intends to return for a sophomore season in Kentucky. But if both do declare and become available on draft day, expect them to be very much on Utah's radar."

If we strike out on PGs on draft day, then you gotta believe they'll make hard runs at Bledsoe and Teague.

I'm definitely in the Bledsoe camp.

If the Clips fall short in the playoffs this year, you've gotta think they'd shake up their roster. After locking up Chris Paul, Bledsoe should be redundant (ala how OKC traded away James Harden last off-season).

I'd be okay with it if we started next season with GR3 and Bledsoe. and minus Alec Burks.

If we can trade Burks & our pick for Bledsoe, you've got to do that trade.

Bledsoe
Hayward
Robinson III
Favors
Kanter

That's a young & exciting team to watch, offensively & defensively.

I really would like to get Dario Saric. He got a good chance of being the next Gallinari. Best prospect from Europe at this years draft. But he will not contribute in short term, he is still 18.

I don't know that the Harden trade is comparable, but stations here in LA didn't see a Bledsoe trade likely during this past season exactly because of the uncertainty with Paul. Although most here tend to agree that Paul will re-sign with LA, the media viewed Bledsoe as a safe backup and think a deal during this off-season is much more likely.

It's only comparable in that Bledsoe will be demanding too much $ for a back up PG, so the Clips should flip him off & get something in return instead.

Clips would only be able to demand top value for Bledsoe if he's traded to a team who doesn't already have a future PG. This means the market for Bledsoe will only get smaller next year when there are numerous decent PGs projected (where teams can get them for cheap).

If I were the Clips I'd seriously think about getting something for Bledsoe this offseason instead of wait around next year. You also risk Bledsoe getting another injury.

With the GSW pick, I want Doug McDermott and with the 2nd round pick, I want Ryan Kelly. Ryan would be great as a stretch 4/5.

If Corbin's still the coach, Foye would be starting at SG and Hayward at SF with GRIII on the bench.

Corbin does seem to look after the "Journeymen" NBA player. Not sure Foye Watson or Tinsley would get this much time on any top 16 team in the league.

Also, I think the Jazz would look at McCollum in the scenario the article mentions, if they think he can really play PG.
