Simple question, simple answer. What do you guys prefer?

My choice is Playoffs & pick Michael Carter-Williams instead. He's long, he's athletic, can finish at the rim and he's a GREAT passer.

But that's my choice, what's yours?

I have never rooted for the Jazz to lose. Never.

But for Trey Burke?? Damn man......

Hopefully we can get the GS pick to fall to 17th, keep our 15th pick, and package them with something else for Trey Burke.

Otherwise, I would rather miss the playoffs than miss out on Trey Burke.

I feel like Trey Burks's stock has risen too much. He's probably gonna go top 10.

When did you jump on the MC-W bandwagon??

I'm starting to come around for MCW. He can't shoot, but I think of him like a Rondo type. He could be a very good defender and a solid distributor. Also I could see him like Rondo being a good scorer without much of a jumper.

The real question we should be asking is whether we want the 14th pick or the 15th pick and a round in the playoffs.

Playoffs.

Playoffs will have a very minimal effect on us potentially getting Burke.

True. Assuming both the Lakers and Mavs pass the Jazz, the Jazz will get the 13th pick. Burke will probably be taken in the 8 - 12 range, meaning the Jazz would need to make a deal to move up. They could leverage both of their 1st round picks to do that, assuming there is a team in that range who doesn't want Burke and is willing to make a deal. The #13 and #21 picks might get us to the #9 or #10. That still might not be enough to get Burke.

If the Jazz miss on Burke, they still have a shot at McCollum who is probably a bit under the radar at the moment. There are several other players like Poythress, Saric, and Pelle they could take.

Overall, I guess the Jazz should try to win and be a proud franchise. If they make the POs then great. If not, draft BPA at #13 or #14.

In other words, if there are a few players we like, it could be worth tanking the rest of the season, but if it's just Burke the odds aren't in our favor either way.

You all forget that making playoffs has the benefit of screwing Kobe royally as well. I say go into playoffs, screw Kobe and get swept again. Burke will go top 10 anyway as I said months ago.

When did you jump on the MC-W bandwagon??

Since Burke hits that game tying shot that sends Michigan into OT against Kansas. I've been on the Burke bandwagon, but now that Burke is rising quickly with the tourney and the Jazz is playing inspired bball and catching fire again I think Burke is out of our reach.

Because of those factors, I've been forced to look hard at other PG options and MCW stands out to me because:

- Pass first PG that can make every pass in the book - Great for Kanter & Favors
- Athletic - Great at helping our porous perimeter defense
- Great steal numbers - Again great for our defense & transition game
- Great finisher at the rim - this is one of the things he's better thank Burke at
- Good rebounder at the PG position - something the Jazz FO always liked.

He's not yet a great shooter, but his shot isn't broken and he can make that 3pt shot, it's just a question of consistency.

Any recent meaningful highlights of the guy?
