OT: Kevin Ware (Louisville) Injury......

Livingston's was much worse, guys:

Livingston injured almost every part of his knee, tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), and the lateral meniscus, badly spraining his medial collateral ligament (MCL), and dislocating his patella and his tibia-femoral joint.[6] The injury was so severe that ESPNEWS warned viewers of the graphic nature of the video clip before airing it.[7] Livingston was told by a medical professional at the hospital that there was a chance that his leg would have to be amputated. He required months of rehabilitation to be able to walk again.[8]

Tibial compound fractures are generally full-recoveries-- though admittedly more macabre-looking. Knee injuries are much worse both from a rehabilitation and a long-term prognosis standpoint.

Major props to the kid. Wow. Prayers for him for a full recovery.
Bones don't just break like his did without being hit. You come down awkward and you sprain your ankle, maybe tear some ligaments. But a normal bone doesn't snap like his did. Mark my words...he has something else going on. It's a terrible thing to happen and a terrible thing to think about, but I think the break is the least of his worries. Wouldn;t be surprised to hear about bone cancer or some of degenerative condition. Hope I'm wrong, but I'll bet he never plays again, or if he does, it will be brief (think Dave Dravecky).

...I tend to agree with your assessment!

I won't disagree Livingston had a more devastating injury. But Ware's was way more disgusting.
