The NBA Needs the Lakers in the Playoffs???

Refs just let Dwight take 5 steps and no travel, then call a T on Dirk for complaining in a close game down the stretch.
 
Whoah.. big travelling call missed by the Refs again against Howard late in the 4th against Mavs.

This will only fuel the fire.. LOL..
 
Lol so what? Refs missed a traveling call? Lol the refs aren't the reason why the mavs play no defense.its definitely the refs fault that dirk is 4-13 and Kobe has 23 pts, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds(twice as many as dirk... Kobe out rebounded the starting front line of the mavs). It has nothing to do with the lakers being by far a better team than the mavs. I mean kaman is by far better than Howard. Dirk owns gasol. Matrix owns Clark. On mayo eats black mamba alive... Vince carter is still half man and half amazing.

The mavs sucking has nothing to do with cubans's tearing a part of a championship team. Who the hell needs j kidd or chandler anyway? New York sucks with those guys!

He lakers winning has nothing to do with their frontline getting healthy. It has nothing to do with being home on shaq's night. It has nothing to do with mamba finding the fountain of youth. It has nothing to do with Kobe's MVP worthy season.

The funny thing is, the jazz are still in the drivers seat. If they don't make the playoffs they have no one to blame but themselves. As long as we don't wet the bed, we are in! The lakers could win all their remaining games and we could still go in. It's all about us. How does this team respond to being under pressure?

This is one of those games where the Lakers' supporting cast actually played well. They led most of the way and won.

But that travelling call was the pivotal point of the game though, late in the 4th, and the lead was down to a single digit.

It was a wire to wire victory. The mavs had a few moments here and there but by and large it was a pretty dominate performance from the lakers. They had a double digit lead throughout most of the game. Add in home court advantage and how Kobe was clearly the best player out there (dirk was way off) and you have a victory for the lakers no matter how the game was officiated.
 
Jazz have just gotta keep winning. It doesn't matter what la does as long as we take care of business. We have the tie breaker.
 
Too bad the Jazz are going to get MCHammered tonight against the Nuggets! They just have way more talent and good shooters to lose to us.
