You guys, this is bigger than us. This is about the Lakers not making the playoffs. We're the last team that can stop them. It's up to us. Should we make the playoffs? We gotta make the playoffs. For the human race.

...excellent point!....and nicely put! It's not about the Jazz.....it's keeping the Lakers OUT of the playoffs in a league where EVERYBODY and there grandma makes the playoffs! With there payroll for them to not make the playoffs because of us....would be like us winning the championship! Not quite.
 
Not really concerned about what is better for the future of the franchise. Just care about having at least 4 more Jazz games to watch.
 
Personally, I would love to have a higher draft pick, but I voted to make the playoffs because our team, including the young guys, want to make it...regardless of the outcome.

I also believe Jefferson and Millsap are gone after this year no matter what, so I'm not worried about making the playoffs increasing the chances we re-up Al. The only thing that worries me is that it basically secures Corbin's job next year without question and increases the chances of us bringing Mo back.

While I think the playoffs could be a good experience for the young guys on this team and believe they need to learn how the atmosphere there is different. I'm completely paranoid that making the playoffs will convince the FO to spend money on some of these scrubs we have starting. If I trusted this franchise to do the right thing and commit to the young guys next season I would be fully behind making the playoffs. The draft pick has very little infuence on my opinion because I see little difference in picking 17 or 14.

It could be the difference between having Glenn Robinson the 3rd and not having GR3. Personally, I think he could become a stud in the NBA at some point.

This is mostly how I feel, though I'm scared that jeffy will be back next year
