Tell Us Who Got Banned Thread Closed?

If I'm over at someone's house and they're acting unreasonable or treating me in a way I don't like I don't sit in their living room telling them how to act and explaining to their other guests what's wrong with what they're doing. I leave their house.

We're all in Jason's house as I see it. Some people think it's okay to put their feet on Jason's couch and then complain about being told to get them off. Doesn't make sense to me.

I've never really liked this argument. For one, lets say you go to somebody's house and they're demanding ridiculous things, like saying that you can't make fun of your friends while you're there, or you have to only say positive things, you can't complain at all. Are you going to go back to that house? Probably not.

Some rules are ok, some rules are ridiculous. Based on how the majority of other sites act, it seems like more rules here are ridiculous than not. It's very PC here.

Wait...so Jason banned a guy for calling him vindictive and petty?

Sounds like he was right.

To be more precise, Jason gave a guy an infraction for that (well, for railing on the moderation/administration staff in general, as well as on Jason in specific). It just happened to also be that guy's fifth infraction.

Still does not change the fact that it is that person's house.

The thought that this is "Jasons house" and we're just lucky to be here is something that holds this website back in a huge way.

Props to the J Man for having a bawse website, but all of us posters are the ones that make jazzfanz what it is.

Were not somehow impeding on his innernet sanctuary. The website needs content to flourish and we're the content providers.

Obviously he's opened the doors wide and invited us to come here and be ourselves, or possibly one of several alternative versions of ourselves. I think he pretty much lets us make this place our own. But if a poster gets a warning about some particular thing they posted and their response is to call mods or Jason out for the great injustice of it all and then to go on posting more stuff they know is over the line or questionable at best, I think that's pretty disrespectful. When you take it to the extreme HH did, or that ain't nuthin' did, basically yelling to the world that Jason is a horrible human being on Jason's own forum how else would anyone handle it other than to show the person the door?

I mean, we might be providing the decorations but the house belongs to Jason.

I think that the Son of Ja is a good guy...

He just gets angry sometime...

And let's be honest we've all been there...

So kudos to you!!!

Agreed on the PC. A lot of us have met in person and individually decided that it's not cool to be dicks to random internet posters just to get our kicks. We don't openly bash on Mormons or LGBT or blackie or racialists or animal haters or animal lovers.

With that said, I enjoyed the forum more when people posted more personally in a less personable way, but that shouldn't condone being an ******* trying to flair up emotions just to hurt others and get off on it as HH was doing.
